Well, let's see. I'm a painter and children's book author, I live in North Carolina, and...uh...just go look at the art. The art will tell you everything you need to know, and a lot of things you probably didn't.I'm the author/illustrator of the Eisner-nominated webcomic Digger and the children's books "Nurk" and "Dragonbreath" from Harcourt-Brace and Penguin Dial, all of which can be purchased through Amazon (visit www.ursulavernon.com for direct links.)

I wish I could fave everything on here... All of it hits all the right buttons with me! (I just came looking for the pic of the Kachina Badger I'd seen years ago!) The gothness, the steampunk, the furry, the Gorey (I'm a huge Ed Gorey fan), the surrealism, the offbeat humor... I just love all of it!

Hello there!
I just recently finished reading Digger, could barely sleep the night after and told most everyone about it (sadly none of them knew of it). I know that thing's really old and maybe long-forgotten by now, but I still wanted to tell you how amazing it was.
I've considered writing a little something about Ed's or Murai's backstory, perhaps even poetry?
Not sure if I'll get around to it, but I do have some ideas on how to approach the subject. Maybe, if Digger-mousie were to meet a loresinger or bard on the way home, she may want their tales to be told...
If there's anything that's not already mentioned in the comic, or details you want me to be mindful of, feel free to tell me.
Again, I'm not sure if and when I'll do it, but I really wanna get over my artblock for at least a short time.

I listened to the whole of the Hidden Almanac recently (finishing today) and it wasn't until afterwards that I realised its the Ursula-V was the you who I've Watched for so long.

i always liked the ''LOLWUT'' pear-art that i was watching in the internet for the last 10+ years, but i never knew who was the artist behind the meme...
apparently, the ''LOLWUT'' pear, wasnt just a simple pear, but it also had a distinctive name of its abilities, AND a country of origin: it was the biting pear of salamanca.
really cool!
i wonder, would you make a map of salamanca? what other creatures could live in salamanca's enviroment?
what kind of an ecosystem it would have? and how would its animals/plants/buildings look like?
this would make a good book, or a really cool visual novel, if used correctly.
this could become a bosch-like world, if it is used correctly.
anyhow, its nice to meet you, and i did this for the event, so here it is, my version of the biting pear of salamanca!
(i doubt that anyone will answer to my post, but im posting it in here anyway, in hopes of getting an answer by one of the coolest surrealist artists of the internet...)
