I think the part that interested me was the mask of time and how it relates to the kanohi vahi(both were actually shown in the g2 comics). That could've been a tease for a new idea that combines the g1 and g2 masking system...

In fact, I studied Gatherer and it pretty much a nightmare to build. I noticed some heresies and the angle view is so poor we can't see the other face and details. Since it's the only pic we got about the character, obviously we'll have to improvise
