# About me

FACIMUS ERGO VIVEMOS!

Female, Dutch, portrait drawer, knitter, lover of music, art, books, history and, most of all, anything and everything vintage.

I adore the Pre-Raphaelite movement and it's something I study deeply as often as possible. The same goes for the Age of Sail and anything related to Tolkien.

Besides being a caretaker I also study two "real" subjects: Sociology and Psychology (mostly youth psychology, addiction and suicide prevention). Besides that, I am an avid supporter of the non-profit organisation www.randomacts.org. It has changed my life in so many beautiful ways and I hope I've been able to help others with my passion for RA as well.

My fannish loves include The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Pirates of the Caribbean, Supernatural, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Penny Dreadful, Poldark, Spartacus and loads and loads of BBC series.

my photog, m rosen now dead, named me mia PICASSA b/c of my PICASSO style od art.  u use liquify tool in photoshop to achieve that.  it is now brokien.

Thank you, dear Mia! The Picasso drawing was out of my comfort zone. I wanted to create something typical Picasso-ish without using one of his works and also make it look like the actress at the same time. I rarely work with coloured pencils, so this was new and pretty cool to do, so thank you heaps! By the way, I love that Picassa and Picasso have such a connection!

I hope your trip to Florida is going well (went well?). Moving, even for a little while, is stressful in and of itself. I hope you are settled and fine now.  

Sorry btw for going AWOL for a while, but I've been doing a lot of real life stuff (sometimes I hate "adulting", as the cool kids say), plus I broke my foot in one of my notorious moments of being an A+ klutz.

i keep hitting some button which erases all i have written!
anyway, the computer man set up my laptop and wifi just 2 days ago.
i still have to wire my desktop and cross fingers and toes that it was not damaged in the shipping.
i am tired from yesterday. i had a 14 hour day at the hospital, followed by a 4 hour round trip commute.
am still nauseus from all the radioactive contrast injected into my veins for the many scans done yesterday.
glAd it is all over.  will see the Dr this monday to get the results and to hear her plan of action for me.

i still plan to go through your gallery, in between naps!
