I don’t know why anyone would, but you did, and now I have to give it to you. I don’t really want to. I want that to be clear. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. But those are the rules. Someone asks for it and you have to give it to them. I don’t know why, you just do. I’m only telling you this because I wish someone would have told me about it, when I first asked for it. I didn’t know what I was getting into then, and now that it is finally over, I find that I’m quite ambivalent about it. I’ve had it for a long time now, and while I never really wanted it in the first place, and the time I’ve spent with it so far hasn’t exactly been positive, the thought of parting leaves me feeling nostalgic. But, here, take it. Go, before I get emotional. May this mouldy, gluten free, vegan ham on rye, stuffed into a soggy old boot, worn by no less than seven hobos and one adventurous clown, with the sandwich still squashed down inside, bring you the kind of happiness that only a burden, forced upon you by a random stranger who lives by arbitrary rules, can bring.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that these two are not, in fact, twins. That’s right, I was wrong. Honest mistake. One of them appears to be a covert polymorphous gelatine based lifeform, masquerading as a fluffy belt ornament. The humanoid form upon which the ornament rests is nothing more than a highly complex, trans-dimensional, Bluetooth enabled, physic projection. Classic contextual camouflage. I can’t believe I didn’t notice it before. I mean I see this sort of thing all the time. Rookie mistake. I apologise. Of course, now that I know that one of them is a fake, the next challenge is figuring out which one is the imposter… I know what you’re thinking, why not just draw blood, and to that I say, have you ever tried to draw blood from a physic projection? Of course you haven’t. That’s a ridiculous suggestion. It takes ages.

I think I’ve inadvertently stumbled onto the perfect excuse for anything and it’s for science! Doesn’t matter what you do, if you add “it’s for science!” on the end, people have to accept your actions, because it’s for science! Caught cheating on your SO, but babe, it’s for science! Late on your taxes, please Mr IRS, I did it for science! If someone discovers your penchant for dressing homeless geese in miniature Gucci tuxedos, to them I say, it was for SCIENCE! Works for any occasion, and for all ages. The only instance where I think the excuse falls apart is if for some reason you managed to bio-engineer a species of hyper intelligent elephants that effectively conquers the universe so as to subjugate the mice population of Eastern Papua New Guinea. If you used the science excuse under those circumstance people are probably going to call bullpucky.
