Hey, sorry for the major delay in response. Have you been able to find out what a llama badge is? If not I'll be happy to explain what I know, but I don't want to spam you if you were able to discover it through alternate means.

They're little llama icons that sit in the upper right of your profile page. Mostly they're there for looks. You can gift llama's to deviants by clicking the give link on their main profile page and selecting the llama option from the list. Unlike points, subscriptions, etc. the llama badges are free, and as you receive more of them, they "level up" so to speak by getting new costumes (for example, mine has a Superman-style cape, while others can come in white, have a top hat, or a variety of other styles depending on how many the deviant has received). You can only gift one llama to each deviant (so I cannot give you anymore since I already gave you one), but it's become a sort of unspoken courtesy to give one whenever you receive one (sort of like people will usually leave a thank you on a deviant's page when that original person has faved a piece or watched them).
Let me know if you have any other questions. I can't seem to find any FAQs right off hand, but I'll keep my eyes open for an official news post (I'm pretty far behind on stuff around here, honestly). Hope this helps, though.
