Thanks for the watch. I'll gladly return the favor. I might have some questions for you about your technique. I can't seem to do realistic stuff in PS

No problem! Most of what I learned came from some of the tutorials and WIPs I practiced from BikerScout and a few other fantastic artists on DA. Some of them put my work to shame I've collected a few in my Favorites if you want to check them out. Other than that, I can definitely give you some personal tips on my technique whenever.
Also, thanks for the favs!

Definitely man. You know I got the toony paint down pretty well. I just want a more realistic style to do the toons with ya know? Do you do straight brush or do you mess with opacity?

I know what you mean. I actually have a tough time going back to drawing comic style because I obsess over every detail now. I've been dying to do some original characters again, though.
Anyways, when I first started, I would change the brush opacity from 5% - 20% using a Soft Airbrush tip. Most digital painters do use lower opacity brushes but, now I just use 100% opacity and a soft round brush. The reason I just use 100% now is to try and get a more "painted" look rather than "airbrushed" look if you know what I mean. They both can have a realistic effect, but I found it extremely annoying to have to paint the same wrinkle or patch of skin multiple times. I also hated how some of my details would end up blurry\washed out and I'd have to do it over again with 100% opacity anyways. So, now I just use 100% opacity and blend\smudge like crazy (no blur effect, though).
Hope that helps!

Alright I know exactly what you're talkin about man. I kind of, when I practice, fluctuate between the 20% and 100% I can't tell which I like. I always thought the 20% was easier, but maybe I'll try it at one hundred. I will see how it goes.
