# About me
I am an accounting professional with a pastel painting hobby, avid hiker, frequent backpacker, and taking ongoing pastel workshops. I paint with soft pastels.I am beginning to think painting has become as much a part of my backpacking as nature itself. I take pictures on my treks, and then when I return, and after a while, I paint the ones I think capture the feeling I had when I took them.
To me, painting must convey an emotion, an experience...it needs to make the viewer feel as the artist. If I don't look at my painting and think, "Yes, this is what I felt like when I took this picture," then I have failed, although the viewer may love it.
Someday, I would like to paint and have the viewer say, "Yes...I feel as the artist must have when she took this picture."

Our languages are not based on Latin and it is hard to pass the threshold. But I think that is much easy to us- higher education is connected with Latin terminology! If You try to learn any of our languages, You have to start about zero points. On the other side, I can understand Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, very well.
Is that church Greek- Catholic or Orthodox church? Just ask, I am not perfect church person...

Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. I'm not religious, but the art, the incense, and the chanting feels like what a heaven would feel like. So I would go. That's how I became interested in Eastern European language and culture.

Beautiful! Maybe I am religious in my hart but I consider religion as a politic and a church as a house on earth. And man is in the house and man is more or less... Maybe I am an orthodox fan. As a Serbian, my aesthetic roots are somewhere in fresco painting in Serbian orthodox monasteries. In my gallery, I have a replica of fresco painting White Angel. There is a very harsh connection between art and religion in history. In modern times, one has found a measure, take best of everything...
