I tried to watch the show sometime last year, but didn't even get a full 20 minutes in - too graphic. I was bored 2-3 weeks ago, and wanted something to watch. I looked it up and checked solarmovie for it, and the page had a trailer for the first season. I was all, "Oh, that looks really good!".

So I tried watching the first episode again, and what was funny was I kept thinking how it didn't seem too graphic anymore XD Between the time I first tried the show and that last time, though, I had watched Supernatural, and after a season of chopping the heads off of Leviathons...

I also got the books last weekend. I'm almost done with the first. ^^

Really like the Starks, their direwolves and Daenerys. Also like Jaime and Joffrey.

I am also reading the books, nearly finished the second storm of swords and yeahi guess it is just a touch graphic but it is HBO and i love watching something different than usual. And i love Supernatural too

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-04-20 18:46:42 +0000 UTC]

Really? Awesome. Yay for Dean and Sam XD I started watching it way back in its second season - channel surfing and I saw their "Then" scenes and was all, "That looks interesting..." ^^

I just finished the first book, and read the prologue for book 2, Clash of Kings. It was a busy week, so now hopefully I can really start getting into it. ^^

(and I so totally peeked at book 3 regarding certain scenes I'd been spoiled about already to see exactly how far into the books they were, and how that might translate to when in the season XD )

TheBlackestVampire In reply to voldanita [2013-05-04 14:44:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I got into Supernatural because of my sister, she leant me the box sets (nearly killed her to do so)and I loved it immediately.

Currently I am on A Feast for Crows and I have to say it's a bit strange but my friend has all ready read it and says that it's all explained at the end of the book, so I can't wait.

And I hate when you spoil something for yourself, before I even started the books I had spoiled Storm of Swords, by reading about it on Wikipedia and then I accidently spoiled for my friend too (oops)But I hope you're enjoying the books.

Oh by the way, my friend told me not to read the blurb on the back of the books before you read them, I'm not sure which it was but she said the she had ruined one of the books for herself, I think anyway, it was a few weeks ago.

And sorry it took me so long to reply, exams are getting on top of me.

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-05-06 21:49:47 +0000 UTC]

Hey, it's fine. I have exams around the corner myself. XD

I don't have the box sets yet. At least, not all of them. 1, 2, 3 and 6, getting the others soon though as part of my graduation present. XD Also going to get the first 2 seasons of Thrones and pre-order 3 if it's available for pre-order right now, anyway. Same for season 8 of Super. I'm actually rewatching Super right now, on season 2. It's funny, I really got to liking Meg towards the end, but boy, reliving her worst deeds...yeah. DX

Honestly, after reading about the RW, I highly doubt anything else can really spoil stuff for me. I mean, the RW...that's kinda the Biggie. XD And watching season 3, knowing what happens? Yeah, kinda dreading it. DX I also know one other spoiler, but that's from Dance with Dragons, so won't say any more on that. ^^

Besides, at least I was looking for spoilers when I found out. I mean, sure I was looking for a dif sort of spoiler and stumbled onto it, but at least it was my own fault XD Of course, I'm the girl who usually looks at episode summaries 5-6 eps in advance on a show. XD I *like* spoilers; like to know what's coming. I couldn't imagine watching season 3 of GoT not knowing where everything is leading, esp the latest eps DX That said, GoT is the only show I don't look up ep summaries for. XD

I am really hoping they end the season with the RW, though. I wouldn't mind just a few eps in season 4 having Joffrey, lol XD But at least I'll know it's coming if they end with that instead XD

I am enjoying the books so far. I'm a good hundred to two hundred pages into Clash of Kings now. I'd be further along, but with the reawakened interest in Super... Rewatching old eps is kinda how I deal with waiting for new eps, hehe

TheBlackestVampire In reply to voldanita [2013-05-09 21:39:15 +0000 UTC]

Meg is so hilarious and I love the older episodes of Supernatural especially Dean and Sam's hair just looked...normal, I guess you could say
And don't even gat me started on the RW, I remember I actually started crying while reading it, it's the biggest most upsetting thing I have read so far. I didn't spoil that for myself but I the feeling that something big like that was going to happen. Yeah, I get the temptation to read up on spoilers for things all the time, but when I find something out, I 'fan-girl' for a second then I think "that would have been an awesome surprise to read or watch"...then I get over it and continue to freak out over it, so yeah
It would be good to end the season on the RW, I agree, always best to end on the big shocker. Good to know you're liking the books and you go ahead and enjoy Supernatural too, it's understandable

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-05-10 09:41:24 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I don't know, Sam's hair has grown on me this season. XD Then again, I was always a Dean girl, and didn't much worry either way about Sam's hair, lol ^^ I adore Cas, though. Did you watch 'Clip Show'? There was one scene that was both hilarious and adorable XD And it was very enjoyable for me to see 2 faces return after having just seen season 1 again XD

It's funny you say that about spoilers XD Back in April, I watched all 6 Star Wars for the first time. I got spoiled about a death when looking about what order to watch them in (ultimately went with 1-6, though came to love 451236 on rewatches). Anyways, with regard to knowing something ahead of time, you never get the "pure" watch. After watching the Star Wars and loving the prequels more than the origs, one of my comments to people loving the old ones more was you can never really get that first watch/first impression out of your mind...will color everything after.

Unless you're like my dad, who could forget even the basics of something after a week went by, hehe XD

Of course, if I hadn't known the RW was coming when it gets here, I think I wouldn't have gone on to season 4. Well, I would have because of Joffrey, but only til he got knocked off. Then I'd be all, "already?!", pout for a bit and not watch again. XD Knowing what's coming, I am trying to latch on to new faves/characters of interest, like Arya. ^^

Admittedly, there is the whole fun part of being able to pick up on things about what's coming because you know it's coming. Like with Rob's new plan to go to Frey. XD You generally only pick those things up in a rewatch, not a first time through XD

Sorry, two more done and only four to go, yey!

Yes, I absolutely love Cas he makes me laugh the way he's always just so awkward. I really need to watch the earlier seasons again I love them.

Yeah I suppose you're right, but it still will always annoy me when a friend comes up to you and tells you something that would ruin the whole thing so it's not enjoyable to watch. But sometimes you can't help yourself and just search the internet for spoiler, (I know I do).

I do that sometimes, my friend misses an episode of GoT occasionally and starts asking me all these questions about what everyone is up to and I would stare blankly at her and say 'I forgot'. It's so funny cause I know it was good, but there's just so much information in it and I can't retain it all.

I couldn't do that, when I start a series I have to finish it no matter how rubbish it gets, can't help it.

Done with finals XD Graduated from college, too. Now to find a job...

Well, I normally keep watching a series no matter what, but that's mainly because most series don't kill off chars like GRRM kills off chars XD

I did stop Super from about late season 4 to late season 6/early season 7, though. Can't quite remember exactly.

As for Super, season 8's finale is prob the only finale where I've actually gotten goosebumps in the last few minutes XD

Oh, and if it's a friend who spoils something when I didn't ask about the show...yeah, I'd get mad XD

I finish school at the end of the week (FINALLY!) Then I'm off to college.
The season 8 finale, I stopped breathing and I couldn't move, it was amazing. I think the only series I Ever stopped watching for a bit was Lost. I bought the first season because I found out Ian Somerhalder was in it. After I finished it, for some reason I just didn't carry on, then a few months ago I watched seasons 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6; and I love them. After everything I heard about it, I was expecting a worse ending, but it really wasn't that bad. Or at the very least, not as bad as most people made out.
And my god the amount of people getting killed off in these books, I swear I've lost count.

Lol...Ian Somerhalder. I just picked up Vampire Dairies. XD Already on season 4. XD Loving Damon. ^^

I never watched Lost. Just not interested in that genre. ^^ That said, I do watch Arrow.

Ep 9 is called The Rains of Castamere...so we know what's gonna go down in that ep... DX DX

I'm so gonna bawl, I know it. DX Esp if they do the thing with Grey Wind

Vampire Diaries, God I remember when I first started it, one night I was bored and flicking through channels when I saw that Vampire Diaries was just coming on, I had never really been interested in it but I had nothing else to watch so I watched it and the next day I bought season 1, I loved it so much. Damon is the most hilarious person on the show, my absolute favourite character and I love Ian Somerhalder, just for being the type of person he is. Glad you're enjoying it
Oh god don't even get me started, episode 9 is going to be such an emotional rollercoaster for me, so will episode 10 for that matter, probably love Grey Wind <3
By the way, I finished school today (Thank God) and you'll never guess what my head of year told us in the assembly...she went to school with Lena Headey AKA Cersei Lannister!! When she said this, my friend and I just looked at each other grinning our heads off, while everyone else did not realise who she was. I was completely blown away!

Yeah, it's funny. I ordered the seasons back when watching season 1, liking it so much that I knew I'd want the seasons. I had already finished season 4 by the time they arrived... -laughs- XD I'm now trying to get my mom to watch them as she liked Twilight. We actually watched the first two last night and she liked them My dad even watched them, but my mom and I both knew it was more because he didn't hate what was on screen and liked spending time with us XD

I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to try Game of Thrones with them. Graphic violence aside, the nudity moments would make me very, very, very uncomfortable. DX

And yeah, ep 9...I love Grey Wind. I hated even the little scene with Lady way back in season 1...prob one of the only moments I even felt close to tears...

Lena Headey is probably one of the few actors/actresses I remember the name of XD She's so great as Cersei. ^^ It's fun knowing the names of my faves though. I'll watch the intro closely each new ep, knowing right away if a fave will be in the ep or not. It lets me actually pay full attention to the show instead of getting my hopes up and not liking that particular ep based solely on the fact I was waiting for my faves to show up. ^^

Who else do I know..? Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Charles Dance, Jack Gleesen, Kit Harrington...I know Jaime's actor as well, just am not going to try and spell it, lol. XD I know Arya's and Sansa's upon seeing their names, but right now they're a blank. And of course, I knew Sean Bean easily. I think I'm starting to know Margaery's as well.

I remember me and my sister making my mum watch Twilight, she kept putting it off because it was about vampires and she doesn't do horror/thriller type stuff, it took us weeks to try and convince her that it was not scary. Now she likes it, and it's probably the only vampire film she'll ever watch.
I tried to get her into the vampire diaries, my sister really likes it too , eventually I wore her down and she watched the first episode with me, she jumped a mile when Damon attacked that guy, I had to pause it cause I couldn't stop laughing. To this day she doesn't understand why I'm obsessed with it.
I wouldn't even attempt to watch Game of Thrones with my parents, it would scar me for life. And Lady was so cute, it was so unfair when she was killed off like that, I know I will have tears in my eyes, if I'm not sobbing my heart out when Grey Wind...nope I'm not going to say until It's happened.
Yep, I knew Lena Headey Peter, Emilia, Charles, Jack, Kit, and Jamie's character (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner and Natalie Dormer, Mark Addy, Richard Madden and I can't think of any more off the top of my head. But I know Sean Bean, I mean, who couldn't know Sean Bean, he is a legend!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-05-28 03:33:42 +0000 UTC]

I know Sean Bean because of LotR, as I got very obsessed. XD It was only after rewatching that, and a rewatch of National Treasure, that I realized he also starred in that movie, lol. Aside from those and GoT, haven't seen him in anything.

I read the Twilight books first, mainly because the movie was around the corner. While I like the movies and the books, the way people go on about it...well, let's just say I don't think it's as hot/great as all that or completely deserving of the attention it gets/got. People comparing it to HP? Big no-no in my book XD

That, and the actor who plays Edward really isn't all that hot. I /laughed/ when we first saw him and that music was playing like he was all that...I totally thought in my head, "Yeah, director guy, he's not that good looking." (not to say that anyone in the movies is bad at acting, just hate the scenes like that). And the screaming in New Moon. Didn't really need for them to keep repeating those scenes for me to realize she was having nightmares, thanks. XD

I think that's why I love Vampire Diaries in a way I don't Twilight...Elena isn't helpless/suicidally depressed-ish without Stefan. Plus she totally wasn't smitten with vamps, and reacted like any sane person would, with fear, not awe or calm acceptance like Bella. XD "I was born to be a vampire." Yeeeeeah... I *loved* Elena in the ep 'The Last Day'. XD (it's still recent enough for me to know ep titles off the top of my head, hehe)

But, again, I do like Twilight. XD BD Part 2? Awesome. Save for New Moon, each movie pretty much got better and better. I especially loved the montage at the end of the last movie - in that respect, I'll say Twilight nailed something that HP didn't.

I totally just ranted. Sorry. XD

I actually got my dad to watch the first two eps of Game of Thrones - he actually likes it, wants to watch more. And the Lady scene was just as sad as it always was/is.

However, am I going to fast forward when we get to that sexposition scene with Littlefinger? Oh, yeah. No way am I watching that particular scene with him. XD

And my mom, dad and I just watched ep 14, Fool Me Once, of VD. The whole open-tomb ep where Katherine's not even in the stupid thing. ^^ So eager to get to the season finale with them!

TheBlackestVampire In reply to voldanita [2013-05-28 18:48:22 +0000 UTC]

National Treasure is amazing, I absolutely love that film and Sean Bean was really great in it!
I have always thought that Twilight was a good idea, the films are okay, but I honestly think the books could have been written better, like a lot better, New Moon seriously annoyed me because of the amount of Jacob in it and, really who in their right mind would go into catatonic depression because their boyfriend broke up with them. No, the idea is good, but it wasn't written good enough to get the attention it does. And the way people said it was the next Harry Potter, really? *insert eyeroll*
Honestly, I thought that Robert Pattinson was an alright choice for Edward; the only person I hate is Kirsten Stewart, in my opinion that was the worst casting choice ever but, what can you do about it now seriously though, she really annoyed me!
I love Vampire Diaries for that reason too. I mean Twilight basically taught girls that you need to have a boyfriend or life means nothing. And yeah, if I came across a Vampire, I'd panic, just like Elena, what does Bella say, "You're beautiful", really? So yeah that's why I love Elena's character and the whole point of the Vampire Diaries not trying to make Vampires seen like all powerful the whole time; I mean even the Volturi were put in high esteem! And the way Damon talked about Twilight in season one, that really did make me laugh.
I like Twilight too, New Moon was definitely the worst, Eclipse I really like, but only cause Jasper is really cool in it, BD 1 was okay and then the fight scene in BD 2 was incredible. But I still think the series could have been written a million times better, it just doesn't live up to everything hard-core fans say about it.
Yeah, I kind of just ranted myself there.
My dad would never watch Game of Thrones, I couldn't even picture it. And the Lady scene will always bring tears to my eyes.
Yeah always fast forward though those types of things, it can make things a bit awkward, hell I could barely watch Twilight (the first kiss scene in Bella's bedroom) sitting in the middle of my sister and my mum.
Oh god, Damon reaction when Katherine isn't in the tomb, it broke my heart to see him like that. I wanted to kill Katherine at that point, I mean she had already broken him once and then that!! Sorry, I get really defensive when it comes to Damon ^^ The season finale was such a shock to my system, I wanted to throw something by the way they ended it. But the Vampire Diaries is still amazing and I love it

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-05-29 04:33:35 +0000 UTC]

I haven't read the books in ages, not since before the films. Which means I really need to, lol. XD Before Eclipse and even til BD 1, the hype was slowly destroying my love for the books. XD I still have them, just have so much other stuff to read, namely Game of Thrones.

Oh, I never didn't like Robert Pattinson. The intro scene for him was just a little over the top XD In BD 2, I adored him, esp in the scene when Bella just woke up and finds out about the Imprint. She's attacking Jacob and Edward's kinda standing there letting her...such a funny/good scene XD I didn't mind Jacob in New Moon, though. The scenes with him lightened the depressive atmosphere XD

My dad and I actually watched *four* episodes today...season 1's 3-6. Those eps contain that one shave scene with Loras and Renly...AWKWARD. XD

Please, Damon's my favorite. I don't mind people defending him; I even encourage it. ^^ And yeah, he really needed a hug after the tomb thing

Are you a DamonxElena shipper or a StefanxElena shipper? While I lean towards Delena, I wouldn't mind Stelena, so long as Damon also got somebody. I'd want Stefan to have someone too if Delena happened.

It's kinda funny...my dad and I watch GoT when mom's not home and VD once she is XD My dad keeps saying I got them hooked on more shows XD (introduced them to NCIS as well as Once Upon a Time).

TheBlackestVampire In reply to voldanita [2013-05-31 20:50:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know, the hype from all the films just kind of destroyed any idea of reading the books again for me, I may do in the future but for right now I have to finish Game of Thrones (even if it kills me)
Okay, I will admit that they may have gone a little too far with the intro, not just for him, but all the Cullen's but it could've been worse...I think. It did make me laugh when he just stood there, fully intending on letting Bella kick Jacob's ass (I really don't like Jacob). He's the main reason that I didn't like New Moon. I don't really know why I don't like him, he just manages to infuriate me for some reason. I might have been able to tolerate him if the Cullen's had more screen time in New Moon. I am completely Team Vampire when it comes to Twilight
Yeah, I can imagine that would have been awkward but I just love Renly and Loras , they're so cute together. But hell would have to freeze over before I let my dad watch that.
Yey Damon!! I am so happy that he's you're favourite, I have loved ever since the first time I saw him, he is just the best character on the show. It was so sweet seeing him so broken and the Elena going and hugging him.
DamonxElena (Delena) shipper all the way, here. I love the way they interact with one another and their relationship, for me, just seems more believable. Have been a Delena shipper since...I guess it started when they met at the Boarding House, and it grew from there, I can't exactly remember when I started to ship them full on but, I was definitely a committed shipper when they took the Georgia trip, and know I wasn't psyched about the StefanxElena part that came before that, so yeah sometime before Stefan and Elena's 'first time', I was a definite Delena shipper. And yeah I do think that Stefan deserves someone, I just don't think it should be Elena.
My dad will not watch any of the sort of stuff I like, he's mostly into Horse Racing and he does watch Only Fools and Horses and other stuff like that, which I do enjoy (Two and a Half Men, he got me into that) But my mum will watch a few things, like I said me and my sister got her to watch Twilight, we also got her into Charmed, which is one of my all-time favourite TV shows She won't go anywhere near Buffy, but my sister managed to get me into that. I successfully got my sister into Game of Thrones (proud moment for me). My mum watches NCIS and I've seen a few episodes but never watched them all. I am currently on the fourth season of Castle and I really like that. I've been thinking about watching Once Upon a Time, is it as good as people say?
Wow just realised how long this is

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-05-31 23:28:40 +0000 UTC]

Other shows first. XD I really like Once, but it's a far cry from GoT, you know? XD I watched Buffy myself. I've never watched every episode of the early seasons, but got the seasons awhile ago. Started watching them and got to like season 2 before something else caught my attention. I've been thinking of selling them. While I've watched Charmed, it's again a series I've never seen all of. I think the furthest I ever got in a watch was early to midway through season 5. I liked Prue and Andy. And Cole. ^^ I've run across Castle before, but it didn't seem interesting...what's it about?

You no like Jacob? -sad face- Honestly, book wise, I'm Team Edward all the way. But the movies made the scenes with Jacob and Bella so fun, especially in Eclipse. Especially the cold scenes XD So in that sense, I was kinda Team Jacob XD In the book, there wasn't much Cullens either, so the movie was pretty faithful XD Just hated the screaming DX And the depression stuff.

My dad and I actually watched ep 7, and it's the one with the Littlefinger sexposition scene. I just tried to think to myself it's the last/worst scene like that and that once it was over I'd be pretty much in the clear.

As for when I started to ship Delena....I can't point to an exact episode or time either. It just sorta happened. But they have the BEST chemistry.

I like Tyler, and I'm sorta vaguely like Klaus, but I think it would be cute for Stefan and Caroline to get together XD Or him and Rebekah, seeing as how even though she's cute with Matt, he won't want to turn and she'll need someone for the rest of eternity ^^

Btw, did Hayley bother you as much as she did me? I didn't like her personality all that much, but the main thing was the accent. DX Grated on my nerves, probably because it went in and out a bit DX. It's part of the reason I am reluctant to try True Blood - seems too southern for me. Even if the accents are spot on, there's just too much accent XD

I think I might try Once, I'll just add it to my list of things to do
Yeah that happened to me with Lost, but I really like Buffy, once you get into the later seasons it's a lot better, I think, but I do like the later ones better.
Charmed is a very well thought out series and worth the watch. I really like Prue and Andy as well. And Cole, while he annoyed me, was a very interesting character, he wasn't one of my favourites, I didn't like him with Phoebe. Leo and Piper, are definitely the best couple for me.
No I don't like Jacob, sorry, he always annoyed me, for some reason, I can't explain it. The book was always a pain for me to read because I really like the Cullen's. The screaming was a bit over the top (well a lot). And seriously, the depression, I just can't help but yell at the TV, you don't need a boyfriend to be mildly happy. And to be honest, Kristen Stewart always looked depressed as Bella, even when she was meant to be happy. (sorry always tend to rant about this, for some reason, I don't like her either )
I seriously don't know how you do it, I just couldn't sit there with my parents or my sister and watch it, I would have to make some excuse and come back when it was over
YES, YES, best chemistry in the world, they're so perfect for each other.
I really like Tyler as well, Michael Trevino is such a good actor, it was great to see how he grew from being such a jackass to an actual nice person. Klaus is a very complex character, which is why I like him, and the way he acts around Caroline is so sweet, I love to see how they would be as a couple. I used to think Stefan and Caroline would be cute together...then Klaus showed up and I changed my mind; plus I want Stefan to be with Rebekah and Matt would be kind of cute with April, wherever she disappeared to, I can't remember the last time we saw her, I think it might have been Prom??
Don't even get me started on Hayley, I liked Phoebe Tonkin in the Secret Circle, but in no way should Hayley have ever existed, and now she's on the spin-off! And with that plot, that I can't even mention 'cause it infuriates me (lol) I mean I'll still watch it, but I really don't like and never will. Now that you mention it her accent did go in and out a bit. The accents on True Blood are really strong southern but you do get used to it and it's so worth it, because it is an incredible show

The True Blood thing might also be because I never fully liked Rogue in X-Men. The association with the actress is hard to kick since I haven't seen her in anything else, and both of them had a southern accent XD And hers was the only one that really stood out out when I watched the trailer for TB. The season 1 trailer wasn't very helpful/informative though. Seemed more like a pilot trailer than a season trailer. Know any good ones?

I like and don't like Klaus. He detracts from my faves. Plus, while I do kinda like him with Caroline, it seems a bit, how do I put it? They introduce this bid baddy no one can really kill, mellow him out via a side char (even if she verges on main), and then set him up with said side char. XD It's like, if you're going to introduce a badass type char, make it a main or with a main...sorta. Lol. It's hard to put into words. But I do like him as a character. That ep where he killed the hybrids? So felt for him.

I'm not sure about the spin off, especially because of Hayley. You know, 'The Originals' is the only episode I skipped scenes in.

I do love Elijah. Though if he appears it'll be in flashbacks, I really started to like Kol towards the end, too. Especially since he was the voice of reason where Silas was concerned. And the ep he was killed in really made me feel for him in his convos with Elena. Considering he hurt Damon, my absolute fave, it's saying a lot that I got to where I didn't want him to die XD

I like Tyler too. I hope he'll be featured a lot more in season 5, esp given Klaus's "gift" to Caroline. ^^

And yeah, there are some truly cringe worthy scenes in GoT. We've gotten past the worst, IMO, though. The only other one is the scene with Joffrey and the two women.

If we even get to season 2 =/ I got into a fight with my sister, and since it happened while we were watching VD, he's not going to watch that or GoT anymore. I'm debating how much him watching the shows with me/us is worth, since I don't really want to say sorry. -sighs-

We stopped VD just before The Descent. GoT right after season 1's episode 8. Really good eps coming up for both =/

Yeah I get what you mean, although I've never watched X-Men, so I guess I don't have that problem I watch the season 1 trailer and, yeah, I suppose you're right, it does just seem like the trailer emphasises episode 1, but that happens with any Tv show, you really just have to give it a try, only if you want to of course.
I like Klaus, mostly because of his accent but I think he's a really interesting character with a past to be explored. My friend made me like Klaroline and now I kind of think they're perfect for each other, but I do get what you're trying to say. Oh my God, when he had to kill those Hybrids, my heart broke for him, it was like losing his family all over again (only this wasn't as bad)
I really hate Hayley and the plot they gave her, it's ridiculous and God, I can't even word it! I didn't skip any episodes but I did have to pause it a few times, or risk breaking my laptop, Hayley was annoying me that much.
Elijah, for some reason, I just love how honourable he is . Kol is another great character and I think he could have had a great back story (like Finn might've too) I know he was the only one who knew how dangerous he was and know one listened to him. They thought he was paranoid, even when he threatened to cut Jeremy's arms off, they didn't listen. I thought that the writers' were going to make him more of a central character, like Caroline kind of, and have him work with Elena, Damon and the others', that would have been so cool I hated the way he died, seriously a new vampire and a new hunter against an original, why! And, yeah Damon is my favourite character too, and I did not like the way Kol was treating him, I mean they could have been great friends. But still, I miss Kol and he had better be in some flashbacks, cause Nathaniel Buzolic is an amazing actor (just like Ian Somerhalder)
I truly think though, that 'The Originals' should have been about the originals in the past, like throughout their lives and not in present day New Orleans, it should've have been about their journey as vampires. Because really, for a series called 'The Originals' it should be about all of them, Kol and Finn included, maybe even Mikael. And that plot would have interested me a lot more than this one.
I hope Tyler will be in season 5 more, cause I really like Michael Trevino. Klaus gift to Caroline had to be one of the sweetest things ever . I can't wait to see more of Jeremy, Damon needs a new 'bro' to be awesome with and I always thought they could have had a great friendship.
Gosh you've got that right! I don't think that scene with Joffrey is that bad in comparison to some of the others' so you're in the clear
I realize that you sent your message a few days ago so I hope you got everything sorted out with you're sister. And that you've started watching them again.
Yep, both amazing episodes and actually, two of my faves .

Oh yeah, we're on season 3 now. -laughs- I told my mom she might not hate Klaus, and she gave me a look like 'Yeah right!' XD

I might try True Blood eventually; one of the reasons I tried Game of Thrones was there was nothing else to watch and I was bored. XD However, I'm catching up on one of my animes, Naruto. I let myself get 172 episodes behind DX Good thing they're only ~20 mins each ^^

If The Originals was what you said, I probably would watch it. ^^ I'd love to see their first years as vamps, especially the events that led to each one being daggered.

I love some of the Damon and Jeremy bro moments, so here's hoping there's more.

Do you like Bonnie? I mean, she's become a lot more reasonable, but I swear, I wanted to strangle her in season 2, particularly the first half. I felt like yelling at her, "Yeah, witches get involved in vamp problems...guess that's your punishment for a witch creating them in the first place!!!"

GoT is going slowly, mainly because it's just me and my dad that watch that one. ^^ We've also watched movies the last two nights instead of Got or even TVD.

Your, mum will definitely learn to love Klaus. I mean sure, he can be evil, and psychotic and a little desperate to get what he wants but there is just so much of him and his past to be explored. And I realise you sent this a few days ago, so if you have been watching it and she hasn't learned to love him...I can't even come up with any words
Well, as I've said that's how I got into TVD and I've been thinking I might start watching them from the beginning again to get ready for season 5 despite the facet that I will want to kill St.Stefan. But it should be worth it to see Damon in all his bad brother glory . If you do try True Blood, I hope you enjoy, it honestly is a lot better than i's made out to be by the trailers.
I know, it would be amazing to see exactly what happened. Like how Finn became so self loathing and how Kol became a psychopath. Plus Caspar Zafer(Finn) and Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol) deserved so much more screen time. I don't get what makes the other originals so special that they get their own spin off without their brother's. And seriously, Kol dying twice, i'm still not over it.
I love how in season 1 Jeremy actually liked Damon better than Stefan (it was completely obvious, they played video games together, that's some serious bro love). But then suddenly, as soon as Jeremy realised that Damon was a vampire, he was all like "oh you're a vampire, you must be evil, now I'm going to hate you." It doesn't work like that, I really hope we see some of their lost BroShip.
I liked Bonnie in the beginning, but then she started really hating on Damon and, it seemed like she started thinking, "I'm a witch and Damon is an evil bloodsucking vampire, so I'm going to give him an aneurysm every time something goes wrong in Mystic Falls, even if it wasn't his fault." (like Caroline becoming a vampire). Then she started getting a little better, I mean she HUGGED DAMON for Christ's sake . Yeah, I agree season 2 was probably where she was at her worst.
Btw, sorry, the internet been playing up past couple of days, so I couldn't really write back until it was sorted

I kept asking my mom if her wall of hate towards Klaus was being chipped away at and she kept saying no. I told her that once Klaus took a fancy to Caroline, she'd start liking him. She was skeptical, to say the least. Then last night we watched the episode with the ball. The one whee Caroline wears the dress he left for her and dances with him for a bit and has a conversation with him and is honest and all that. It culminates in the drawing he gives her. I asked my mom after the ep if she was starting to like him. She said yes XD Hehe.

That episode is also the first real time we see Kol and Finn, another reason I was happy to watch it again ^^

I didn't get that "You're a vamp and evil" vibe from Jeremy with Damon. The majority of the anger was at Elena for the memory thing. And then Damon went and killed him, and Jeremy was going to try to off Damon, but ended up in a conversation with him instead and then started to help out with the vamp stuff, so it was cool XD

I don't remember when she hugged him. o.o Must figure out what ep that is XD

TheBlackestVampire In reply to voldanita [2013-06-14 21:24:26 +0000 UTC]

That episode was definitely one of my favourites. The dresses that both Elena and Caroline were wearing were absolutely gorgeous, I didn't mind Rebekah's either, that was pretty, The only part of the episode I didn't like was the Stefan parts, I like Paul Wesley, but Stefan is just so annoying. Also Esther, what did you think of her? Personally I thought she was even crazier than Kol, I wouldn't want to kill of all my children no matter how 'evil' they supposedly were. We also got a lot of Klaroline in that episode which made me very happy and Delena too <3
That drawing was so sweet, it was one of the few times we saw him showing his humanity. I'm glad to know your mum's starting to like our favourite hybrid
I seriously think that if they had lived Finn might have become less suicidal and Kol might have shown us some more redeeming qualities. And I say more, because to me it seemed as though he could have been warming up to the 'Scooby gang'(can't think of anything else call them lol)while still retaining his badboy image, kind of like Damon, more like Klaus probably. Plus if Alaric was alive too (he should be!),him, Kol, Damon and Jeremy could have been like 'Team Badass' . But yeah, I love to watch those middle episode of season 3 just to see Kol and even Finn, and the dynamics between the original siblings. They did make me laugh, the morning after the original ball
Now that I think about it, you're roly right, it wasn't so much as hate. Maybe caution?? After having your neck snapped, you would be careful around the person who snapped it. I am glad he got over the whole memory thing, Elena was only trying to protect him, though I do see where he's coming from . It was cool when he tried to get involved with everything, I kind of wished they had done that with Jenna. That was probably one of the most emotional moments of the vampire diaries for me, I really like Jenna, especially since she like Damon in season 1. And if she had known everything, she would have stopped disliking Damon for kissing Elena/Katherine.
If you haven't figured out which episode it is yet: Do you remember season 4 episode 15 'stand by me'? Damon stayed behind on the island to find Bonnie and When he did they hugged, it was quite a sweet moment. If you still don't remember, just go onto youtube, type in 'Damon hugs Bonnie' and there you go

voldanita In reply to TheBlackestVampire [2013-06-15 05:35:04 +0000 UTC]

Ah yeah, that moment. That registered more as Damon-hugged-Bonnie than a mutual thing, though she did return it after a bit. ^^

Now, I do like Klaus. But in season 3, there's a moment where Caroline's "You don't have to prove you're the Alpha male all the time!" And Klaus is all "I am the Alpha male." And THAT is why I can never like Klaus too much XD He takes the show over. DX

Also, Caroline really started bugging me when rewatching the second half of season 3. Stefan has a larger body count than Damon (at least I think so) and played with his 'food' a lot more than Damon played/abused Caroline, not to mention Stefan was crueler in the play. Yet she acts like Stefan is a saint >> The worst part was knowing she got worse in season 4. Bonnie got way better, Caroline got worse Not to mention, it wasn't even that long ago in the season when she said she killed somebody once and liked it to Alaric! Just ugh. I do like her still, but she seriously needs to get over the Damon dissing.

Whoops, I ranted. XD

Speaking of season 4, my mom and I actually went ahead and watched the last several eps of season 3 while my dad was gone, knowing we'll rewatch them with him later. She's now chomping at the bit for season 4 to be released XD

I suppose so, but still it was a major turn around for her.
Klaus does manage to steal too much of the spotlight, I think that's why they're doing the spin off. But I still think Klaroline should happen, it will always be Klaroline, (and of course, Delena)
Caroline annoys me so much because she refuses to acknowledge that Damon has changed and yes she still sees Stefan as a saint. And I agree with you; with all of his ripper benders, Stefan has to have killed hundreds more that Damon ever will. I still like Caroline when she's not ragging on Damon or treating Stefan like the golden boy. I am so happy that Bonnie got a lot better on the Damon front!
can't wait for the season 4 dvd, hopefully I'll get for my birthday, if it's out by then.
Haven't ranted as much as usual, because I have recently become obsessed with Once Upon a Time. You were right it is so good and I've nearly finished the second season

I'm so glad you decided to give Once a chance! What's funny is I also decided to check something out - Smallville. I'm actually almost done with its second second, too. Hehe.

I used to watch its reruns years ago, but never caught the new episodes. I recently thought of it again because of the new movie and thought I'd try to watch from the beginning. Back then and even now, Lex was always my favorite. XD It sucks when your fave's fate is well known in the Superman universe, though.

It's funny, but I could never remember why or how I stumbled upon Supernatural on the tv. Then I learned Smallville and Supernatural were on the same channel XD.

I told my mom that if those two do get together, I don't mind if the get together is in the show, but she should move off TVD with him afterwards if it does. ^^ As you said, he steals the spotlight a lot of the time, and you put him with Caroline...yeah, it'd be like there's 5 chars on the DVD front, not 3.

The 4th season DVD is supposed to be out last August/early September, btw. ^^ My mom can't wait - season 3 left such an evil cliffy, wouldn't you agree?

I'm both looking forward to and dreading rewatching the episode where Elena and Damon get together in the last few moments. Such an awesome hookup, but then next episode we get Caroline's comments DX At least Elena got mad at her for them. ^^

Oh, watching Smallville also gave me the chance to see Paul Wesley acting as a Luther. Such fun XD Wish they'd kept him in more than one episode...

Omg, sorry I took so long to reply I haven't been on my laptop for a while, been watching HIMYM.

Once is absolutely amazing, I love Emma, and Hook is hilarious, I just love everything about it . I really want to start watching Smallville again, it's really good and I don't know why I stopped in the first place. Lex is a good character, but my favourite has to be Clark, I love him.

Supernatural is still amazing (always has to be said)

I don't think it would be a good idea for her to move off the show to The Originals with him, because hello! Hayley+baby+Caroline=a big mess for Klaus, I don't think he'll want to deal with that, so he might make Caroline stay in Mystic Falls.

Yes! Just in time for my birthday, and season 5 starts in October, it's like a dream . And yeah I thought that had to be the worst cliffhanger ever...but then season 4 happened

That is one of the best episodes, but having Caroline talk through the most crucial moment and then the next episode, I just wanted to rip her head off.

I know that Paul Wesley is in it but I never saw him before I stopped watching. I'll start again...at some point

Btw, who do you ship in Once? I ship about three, but Hook/Emma I love, for some reason.

I have a bad habit of never having my fave character in a show be the main XD VD is rare as I love Damon. XD I'm on season 5 right now. Well, the last 3 eps of it, anyway, so I might as well say season 6. I like reading reviews of each ep before/after I watch an ep, and I'm starting to get really ticked off at the person's Lana bashing...

I got my mom and dad to watch Supernatural. XD We've only watched season 1 so far; my dad went on a trip this week.

I just think that if they got together, and *showed* them together in the show, it'd take away from the three supposed mains. XD I like Klaus, but there's no way he wouldn't be in the thick of things if he stayed around with Caroline XD I didn't mind Caroline talking through the moment. Them getting together = awesome, but I don't mind getting interrupted while watching a sex type scene XD It was just her attitude in the next ep that totally pissed me off ^^

Who I ship in Once...well, Rumple/Bella for starters. I'm not a crazy shipper, and I actually left the group I found on FB because they were a little nutters. XD And I adore Hook, and after that beanstalk episode, definitely ship Hook/Emma. And the ep with little Baelfire made me like Hook even more. ^^ I won't mind if Neal/Emma happens, but I like Hook/Emma better.

Of course, I also ship Snow/Charming. I was getting a nice vibe when Red and Dr. Whales were talking on the dock in that one ep, too. XD

TheBlackestVampire In reply to voldanita [2013-08-05 21:49:43 +0000 UTC]

My sincerest apologies, things have been hectic recently. I think I usually have at least one favourite character who's main. Supernatural is so cool and I hope you've been enjoying it. I guess you're right about that and the sex scene could have been worse. I loved the fact that Ed Sheeran's Kiss Me played during it...epic! Good grief, could she have been anymore of a bitch!

Rumple/Belle can be cute but they are not one of my fave couples. So glad that you like Hook/Emma! They are my Once OTP along with Snow/Charming, they are amazing. I really don't want Neal/Emma to end up together, but if it happens, I suppose I could deal with it. When I watched that, I swear the cuteness surrounding Red and Dr. Whale was growing by the second.

I started watching Merlin, which had been taking up a lot of my time. Being from Britain, I was so proud of my country because it actually made a tv show that I fell in love with. I've finished it now, and it was incredible!

It's fine. I graduated college and got a job, so my time has been severely limited.

As far as Super's concerned, my parents and I haven't watched it in awhile. I've already seen everything, and since I just found Smallville, I convinced them to watch that instead. We were only in season 1 of Super with not a lot of time til season 9. On the other hand, while Smallville has 10 seasons, that's all it will ever have; we won't be playing catch up before a new season airs like with Supernatural. It'll most likely be a winter break and/or next Summer project. My family and I reached season 4 in SV already, hehe.

I can't wait til the new season starts of Once...we'll prob see a lot more of Hook than we saw previously. -eagerly awaits it-

And yay for Merlin! I really loved the show, and even rewatched it once or twice before the 5th season aired. I was slightly disappointed in the ending, but not by much.
