How do you show a picture drawn on paper on the computer? For example: your artwork Golden Ferns

I have a scanner (I recommend Cannon brand). But, you can always take a photo of your work with a digital camera and then upload that to the computer. A program like Photoshop will help you alter the photo or scan to look better in digital form as real media quality tends to get lost in translation.

I actually prefer the look of traditional and find it more engaging to work with too. For digital, PS Elements is just what I'm used to. I think some of the free programs, like GIMP, are probably pretty comparable. MS Paint has even gotten better than the really old version I used to use. Old as in when computers first came out for consumer use. X)

You get. Keep asking around about programs and playing around with them, and you'll find what works best for you. There are lots of tutorials online, but I really find just messing around with a program helps you learn a program in a way that suits your style of learning and drawing.
