Sure! I use Corel Painter Essentials 5. The software came with the new cheap crappy drawing Wacom Intuos Draw Tablet I got. For shading I shade opposite form where the light is shining. For example, if the light is shining from the left side then I will shade the part of the drawing that doesn't touch the light, the right side. Since the light comes in from the left side, it touches the left side, therefore shade the right. For colors in shading just use a darker colors than your base color. For example, if I draw a brown ball, then a I will want the shaded part of the ball to be a darker brown. And then there's highlights but that is going to take another super long paragraph so lol Hope this helped you!

Haha you're welcome! The same goes on paper tho, just use a darker colored colored pencil or marker to shade the area that the light doesn't touch!
