well, I've always enjoyed drawing, so from pretty early on! but i used to only ever draw anime and manga, so i guess i've experimenting with other things for about a year.

I used to try expression with words and it's not that easy. Keep changing my mind about what to leave in or out. Painting isn't easy at all. Unless you're satisfied easily with what you've got. One thing I do is get my composition done by printing out a photo of what i'm going to draw (the photograph). On regular typing paper. Then, tape it to a window and scratch the back with a soft lead pencil. This works as carbon paper that way. Then, i trace right thru the photo onto my paper (or canvas). Then go from there. It helps so the perspective is correct that way.

that does seem like a very good way of doing it! i don't paint a lot, usually. i stick with pencils.
