Thanks for the fav on Inktober 10 - Flowing a.k.a Time stops for no man
I’ve never been much of a nature lover, well, there was this one time, at band camp, but never again. However, I do occasionally like to match wits with Mother Nature in a friendly game of Will This Kill Me, or camping as some people like to call it. But you’ve got to do it right. None of this glamping business, with the fancy tents and modern technologies, like fire or clothing. Camping is about survival and awakening your primal instincts. You just can’t do that if you succumb to the weaknesses of underwear or flashlights. It’s all about respecting nature. How can you expect a three week old, dead, rabid, zombie koala bear to maul and eat your intestines if it has to rip its way through your jeans as well as your abdomen? I know. It’s completely unrealistic. Sure, their claws are sharp and the zombie virus makes them abnormally strong, but jeans are a tough material to tear and their cute little hands are so tiny. Can you really live with yourself knowing that because you couldn’t bare it in the wild, an insatiably ravenous, unholy marsupial might starve? I don’t know about you, but I don’t want that on my conscience, which is why I always expose all my vulnerabilities to the infinite dangers of the great outdoors. Just to keep things sporting.

Thanks for the fav on Inktober 8 - Star a.k.a Excuse me?
Fame. Perhaps the defining issue of our modern era. More important than global food shortages, the climate debate and even the orphan mink population of central Australia. Fame is everything. Fame is life. Fame is death. Fame is the air you breathe, the water you gargle and the gas you pass. Fame is the reason you get up in the morning and it’s what you think about to quiet the mournful voices of screaming goats as you lay your head to rest. Fame is God… No wait, I just looked it up. I was thinking about an entirely different word. My mistake. Cheese. That’s the word I was looking for. Cheese is everything. I’m always mixing those two up. My bad.

No joke I once curated a large list of fictional cheeses as a central component of a world building exerise that went on to be a fairly successful cheese-based Pathfinder campaign. Later I started a NaNoWriMo novel set on a world with a cheese based economy that was a spin-off of the backstory of one of those cheeses. (The planet Leng had a rich cheese making history, and their Cinnamon Spring Dry Cheese was the finest in the Galaxy, even being used in place of currency in the Kelembad asteroid field).
Yep . Cheese.. indistinguishable from sufficiently advanced fame.. as I think I mentioned the saying goes..

That all seems very impressive, and hugely suspect... Coincidence
I think not. You don't actually like cheese, do you? You one of those
agents from the Foundation for Lactose Intolerant Chickens. This
sounded a lot like a FLIC misdirect if ever I've heard one...
I've got my eye on you...

Thanks for the fav on Inktober 7 - Exhausted a.k.a Obligatory Butt Armor
I could be wrong but I think the butt gets a bit of a bum rap. It’s the victim of an endless barrage off colored jokes. It’s the third most scrutinized body part, after the elbow and earlobe. And for many people in this modern era, it’s under the largest amount of occupational pressure in history. But the greatest indignity that the butt must endure is humanity’s attempts to smother it into submission. Everyone sits on their butts. There’s no escaping that kind of systemic abuse. It’s no wonder that butt related disorders have risen 2% in the last two decades. We are on the verge of a rear end rebellion. But with your help we can finally make a stand. It might be uncomfortable, and people will probably laugh at you but if you do your bit, this crisis can be averted. So do your part, sit on your face instead. Your butt will thank you.

Thanks for the fav on Inktober 6 - Drooling a.k.a Wet Beefcake
I’m not a fan of the ocean. Oh sure, it’s alright. Minds its own business, doesn’t make waves, but if you ask me, it just has too much hidden depth. I’ll admit it, all that unknown, it scares me. Anything could be swimming around down there, not the least of which would be perfectly happy taking a huge chunk out of your wallet. That’s right I’m talking about tax accountants. With all that oxygen rich environment and abundance of water, which covers at least 11.7% of the world, probably more, the law of averages suggests there should be at least a few deduction hungry math nerds hunting around down there. It’s just not worth the risk. I worked hard for my pay check, most of which I dutifully gave to my government for various scandals, payoffs and bribes, and the last thing I want is some goodie-goodie with a calculator to come along and undermine my civic duty. So that is why I only ever swim in heavily polluted or toxic water sources. It’s a hell of a lot safer.

Haha...yeah, I am not sure on your statistics there though.. I think I heard that our planet is 98% water.. I think you are thinking of the human body, which is 11.7% water. Watch out for tax sharks.. (kind of the opposite of loan sharks).. stay safe out there people.

It is easy mistake to make. One is a body of water and the other is water in the body. Both things have words in them, no wonder I was confused.

Thanks for the fav on Inktober 4: Spell a.k.a Hocus Bogus
I take great issue with people who believe that magic is real. All that hocus pocus, abracadabra, Petrificus Totalus, business is nothing but superstitious claptrap. The problem I have with these people is that their beliefs have made them weak minded. Believing in magic is the simplest explanation for the seemingly bizarre phenomena that happen all the time and it shows a complete lack of imagination. A perfect example happened last week. Sally Swartz, she lives just down the street, well, her warts mysteriously disappeared overnight, and no one could explain it. Right on cue Uncle Gertrude chimed in with “it’s magic”, and the conversation quickly devolved into a chicken casserole cooking battle that left everyone questioning their sanity. As you could tell, Old Gertie is a bit of a crackpot. It wasn’t magic. It was obviously the result of Sally sleepwalking three blocks to the docks, where a team of elite dermatological walruses performed a covert operation to remove what were clearly secret spyware disguised as butt warts. Butt warts that were developed using cutting edge “medical science”. Now, that is how you explain the inexplicable. Science, son!

Yeah.. but you know how the saying goes.. Any sufficiently advanced walrus dermatology is indistinguishable from magic. So by extension, perhaps you don't think that people should believe in advanced technology... If that's your argument then I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. Thank you and good day.

Coloration is not causation. Just because it looks, smells, sounds and tastes like magic, does not mean it's magic.
Just because you tasted it and now resemble a purple Pekingese with a severe dog allergy, does not mean it's magic.
There is a scientific explanation for everything as long as you're willing to get creative about it.
And you can't not believe in advanced technology. It isn't subjective. There is no interpretation here, unless
we are talking about human cyborg relations, in which case some interpretation may be involved.

Thanks for the fav on Inktober 2018 - 1: Poisonous aka. Oh Crap!
I don’t know about you but I’m thinking about becoming deathly afraid of snakes. I realize it’s a big commitment, I mean we only get so many phobias in life and it’s important to pick the right ones for your lifestyle. I’ve experimented with a bit of Koumpounophobia but it conflicted with my extreme distaste of t-shirts, so I had to pass. Then there was my short flirtation with a fear of dishtowels, but nobody takes you seriously in the dishwasher community with that kind of limitation. My most recent attempt was by far the worst. In my arrogance I tried cultivating a fear of success and a fear of failure simultaneously and then spent 5 years doing nothing, anxious that I might not be good at either. But I’m ready to put all that behind me and embrace a terror as socially acceptable as Ophidiophobia. With a fear like that, my future career in poisonous reptile rehabilitation is guaranteed.

Snakes... why did it have to be snakes? I certainly thought you would point out how well qualified that would make you for a job hunting down lost treasures that "belong in a museum" .. but glad you are finally finding the right fear for you. Reminds me of a book I almost read called "what color is your parachute" that I am pretty sure made the case for a fear of skydiving.

That book sounds terrifying. Plummeting from extreme altitudes sounds like a perfectly delightful way to spend an afternoon but if you have to worry about random silk cloth suddenly appearing out of nowhere, hell bent on stopping your terminal velocity, you can just count me out. That's nightmare fuel right there.
As for your reference to a certain unnamed "archaeologist" with an "apparent" fear of "snakes", well to that I say phooey. Montana Davy completely plagiarized his fear for likability purposes. Those tears of terror were obviously fake.
