Trainspotting really is my favorite movie ever. If you haven't, I strongly recommend that you read the book if you're up for a semi-difficult but satisfying read.

There's all sorts of basic concepts! Unless we are not speaking og the same ones ;D

I think you should try some sort of airbrushing.
I have so much fun doing it, and DA is littered with tutorials on how to do simple airbrushing.

I love photo retouching! Actually, I have a picture of my boyfriend open at the moment and I'm in the process of sprucing up his facial flaws (pimples, uneven skintone, etc). I had an addiction to touching up and recoloring vintage photos back in my senior year of high school. I don't know why I never effing saved anything back then.

I guess by concept I mean an idea devoid of any details beyond a simple image. I don't know. ._.

I do too, sometimes.
Sometimes I really like the blemishes and whatnot, and all of the imperfections on someones face that makes the picture that much more dramatic

Well...if theres anything specific besides vectors, i can help you haha.

I've found that experimenting is the best thing to do..like i'll sit in photoshop for hours just messing with coloring techniques..
half the time they end up retarded, but then i learn what not to do ;D
Orrr...i find something that i really love, like making pictures to look vintage, and i use it on every picture i have D:
