# About me

Erwin Maier is an 19 years old self taught artist grew up in a small 5.000 population town in the centre of Argentina, South America.
His very beginings in the world of art goes to his early childhood. With a very creative teacher and cosmetologist as a mother, and a half-time free lance photographer as a father, it was only matter of time for Erwin to start to acquire a taste for art.

He took up drawing as one of his favourites hobbies at an early age, as many other children did, and realized he wanted to continue learing. At the age of 14 he discovered Deviantart, a web page that encourage him to produce more artwork and where he learnt about digital art, found lots of tutorials and had his first contact with other young artists and also, an inevitable first contact with digital photography. He earned some money for his first pen-tablet and started making his own digital drawing and paintings. It was when a friend gave him some old oil paintings she didn't use anymore when he started to create some traditional paintings. After some time he bought a DSLR camera. Since then he has been working as a free-lance photographer, and occasionally selling some of his traditional painting work.
