I'm still debating what to do with this account. On one hand, I've put a lot of effort into ~Corseir , but on the other hand... well, I feel like shifting from the world of cute doggies and kitties to something more mature. Not that that needs a new account, but a new account would make me feel refreshed. The down side is losing watchers and pageviews, but that shouldn't be what really matters. XD

I do understand your dilemma. It is natural to evolve in such a way. I have already changed accounts twice. I used to be ~zmulux as well as ~lychnisnacre . Through each change of accounts my pictures have grown more serious and I have liked them better - it is almost like when a butterfly sheds its caterpillar form for a cocoon and the cocoon for a butterfly's wings. So, you should do what will make you feel the most accomplished.
Oh, and though I originally thought that I had many watchers and pageviews, those numbers myltiplied with each time I chnaged my accounts. Now, I am more accomplished than ever, and I believe that you will be no exception. But, as you said, it is not what really matters.
Do what you feel like doing. As long as accounts are concerned, you can always change your mind.

Apparantlu I have done that on some occassion. 
But as I said, it is all a matter of personal taste. Do you want people to still be able to see your previous deviations, can you stand that thought? If so, allow them to be. If not, hide them. That is my advice.
I moved a few to my new account, the ones that I was the most proud over. It gives my watcher a small window through which they can see snapshots of how I have developed. I can also use that feature of my gallery to enjoy my development as an artist. It is indeed great fun!
