If it helps, Gary K. Wolf, the creator of Roger Rabbit is working on a prequel which is a remake of The Stooge featuring Mickey Mouse:

Only downside, it will be CG. But I've seen Planes and the trailer to Frozen so I should open my mind a bit.

I think a prequel to Roger Rabbit works better than a sequel.

I found the link while trying to find more info on this project. First time I heard when it was announced I was excited. Still am.

maybe a prequel will work better than a sequel. it would be a little sad if its a sequel because by now toons are a dying breed. i mean, they tried to revive the looney tunes but they don't have that same feeling anymore nor the evolved, this-is-better-than-before trait.

well, they were meaning to follow the original story. i think the reason they didn't make jessica the villain is because they want to surprise the audience.

i'll admit, the first time i saw jessica walk out that stage, that the first thing that came into my mind (besides the word "hot") was that it wouldn't surprised me if people think she's straying. then surprisingly in the end, she's not what i judged her to be after all (shame on me). which makes the movie better.

did you know in the prequel (accdg to wiki) that roger wouldn't know he's a toon until the age of 18 when his human parents confessed his adopted? i find it hilarious, just imagining it. "What? I'm a toon?!"

What was the original story? I think I heard Roger was a comic strip... and in the comic he and Jessica weren't even together, right? So the movie surprised people by placing them as a pairing. That is what I worried about. That she'd cheat on Roger because she seems to be flirtatious. If in the next movie she and him split or she does that my heart will be crushed and it will leave a bad taste in my mouth whenever I hear of the story and I won't be able to enjoy Roger Rabbit anymore. It even bothers me a bit that they weren't meant to be together in the original story (still not sure where it existed) they seem like FATE!

LUL. Aww, that is too adorable! Him not realizing he is a cartoon. How old is he anyways? I'd love to see that scene. His parents telling him he was adopted. I cannot believe he didn't notice they were human. He's such a derp. Where do you find all this stuffs?

in the book, roger is married to a not-so-good jessica. in the 2nd book, gary k. wolf wrote that jessica dreamed all the events of the first book, choosing the reality of the movie.

i tried to look for the wiki section of roger being left on the doorstep of his human parents as a baby and being told he's a adopted and  a toon by the time he's 18. but i guess they deleted that portion. i noticed they had updated it.

i can just picture him wearing human clothes instead of toon clothes, his parents finally buying a tv to show him toontown and the shock he went through:

"Is that why i survived that 50-ft fall when i was 8!?"

"yes."


"Is that why you never let me touch the pain thinner!?"

"yes."

"Is that why my high school crush turned me down when I asked her out?!"

"No, honey. She really prefers girls. Your friend wasn't joking when he told you that."

"Noooooooo!"

ok, so my imagination ran a bit wild back there but the point is Roger finding out he's a toon by the age of 18 has a pretty ripe story waiting to be told. would he get culture shock when he goes to toontown to find his parents? what if he never exercise his toon abilities until he was consciously aware of them? would he find his place? how did he got his philosophy?

Hhahaha, I choked on my iced tea laughing at your dialogue. Wow, that is a really good script you did. I love the 50-foot-fall and the girl not wanting him. LAWLZ.

So, wait... in the books they are married, but she doesn't care about Roger and he is obsessed with her? I love the Trail Mix-up when he tells Baby Herman not to burn his weenie. In the cartoon show they do is Herman playing a baby girl?

yup, that is how it is in the book. i love the part in the Trail Mix-up when he got chop into little Rogers. i couldn't stop laughing at that part. in the cartoon show, Roger still calls him Herman. so i guess Herman plays a baby boy wearing  pink bow.

That is why I want you to write more fanfiction. You really have a good mind for cartoons. You understand the creative mindset for them. No peer pressure BUT I'D LOVE IF YOU WROTE MOAAAR

I definitely wouldn't like Jessica from the book. She seems like she is heartless and has an ego. I love sweetiepie to ONLY Roger Jessica in the film. When I watched trail-mix up I remembered your ad-lib scene in your fic and figured that was Roger's acting attraction before they got together and DAMN. He was a good actor but I bet it was weird for her to see such a different side to him. He is so adorable. He was kind of sexy when he called himself a 'mountain man"

i don't like jessica from the book too. what i was wondering is what is going through roger's mind during that ad lib. even I don't know.

about roger, i find him cute and his philosophy and unapologetic way of being his silly self attractive. i find it strange saying it outloud but what the hell, it's just a crush.
