# About me
Who am I?I am Matteo, 21,and living in Vienna, Austria.
What do I do?
I am practicing drawing every day to eventually but ultimately get into a position where I can make a living of my passion. This is why I am currently dedicating every breath for art.
What is my past?
After finishing school I did not know what I should do. I looked at the list the university of vienna offers for students interested in an bachelor degree but could not identify with anyone. Which is why I started business informatics. More or less randomly. Oh boy did I quit fast. But let me tell you, a decision to quit a bad decision is a good decision. Then I tried maths. Did some courses but jumped then to Japanese Studies which was fun at the beginning but then getting too anying.
I started thinking, is this really what i want? I came far, finished three terms, but is it worth it? Or is it avoiding my true dream? I was at a point even going to japan for a year but happily the did not take me. Who knows what would have happened...
But as thing are right know, I know one thing. Drawing and art is what I love the most. I can draw eight hours straight without thinking about food, going to the toilet or drinking. In my dreams I am painting unfinished paintings, I am imagining the colors, I envision.
Where do I want to get?
I want to have a really really good portfolio. I want to be able to create totally cool characters (most likely for games, or even for movies), draw breathtaking illustrations of characters and evnironments that are ready to be used for card games (like Magic The Gathering). I want be a concept artist who can bring life onto paper (mostly digitally). I want to be able to operate in 2D but also in 3D (ZBrush) and render the hack out. Create badass stuff. And earn money for doing so. It must become my destiny.
Also I would like to create something similar to an graphic novel 8like mark crilley´s "Brody´s Ghost").
Study
Currently I am doing an 8 week course called Digital illustration (www.illuskills.com). Besides that I try to draw as much as possible. Find as much as possible content on the internet. There is so much good content! You can definately become great witout an artschool, altough I wouldn´t mind going into one if there just was one, here in Vienna...
Goal
Create a badass portfolio for getting hired by a company.
