What are cons like in Manila? I'm probably going to be staying there for about 3 months from November-Janurary.

Relatively, all months of the year have events but for me there are only at least two events that's worth going to which is Cosplaymania (by far the most major annual local convention) and Fantasy Quest (held at a Victorian-esque venue).

This year's Fantasy Quest is going to be on August. The place was built for the most romantic/awe-inspiring theme for weddings so I guess it's ideal for a lot of cosplays.

Aww, that's a shame it's in August. I only ever go to the Philippines at the end of the year because our big summer holiday is held from November-January instead of mid-year like over there.

Oh, UP AME's not bad too. Personally, my only problems with conventions is the venue of the place. It's really hard for me to go around cons in a cramped place >.< and for the past few UP AME held so far it's in a more spacious venue.

In the usual case, it's both. 'Cause there's a broad range of exhibitors inside which attracts to a lot of visitors not to mention fans wanting to watch cosplay performances. Outside are mostly, visitors and photographers who wants to take pictures of cosplayers (who mostly are outside also).
