pave the way for other things like backgrounds and
different styles of art

Anatomy is the body.
You gotta figure out proportions in other words~
Like how big the shoulders and hips should be, how long the arms and legs should me.
What looks wrong or right in certain poses.
Stuff like that. There's so many tutorials on DA, I could send you some links

hey, just dropping in to say a few positive things. your art is looking great so far (a lot better then when i started xD lol).
if you want, you could join (no im not a admin of it, just advertising cuz they're really helpful). they have many people looking to help others improve. and i can point out stuff too (tho im not the best artist around so i might not).
