Hey, it's all right! Most people don't.

I use photoshop for almost everything, and I do all my solids with the pencil tool, using layers to make sure I can mess around with details without having to redo the whole thing.

I'm thinking about doing a tutorial soon. My "MSPA-style" art isn't exactly the same style as Hussie's, admittedly, but I try to use canon colors for everything. This place: [link] has some canon sprites I've used for references (though it has a lot of fan-made stuff now), and I'm never afraid to google up some references to the actual comic, if need be.

I don't know if this'll help, but I hope it does!

I generally use the background to make a rough sketch to place the pose, then make a layer that'll have the face and arms (all the skin), one for facial features, one for hair and one for horns and anything worn on the head (goggles, glasses, hats, hair ornaments, etc.). You can reuse layers, too, but always keep track of what's where!

Sometimes, making a section of color that's different from the rest is easier to do on the same layer, because you can outline that section and fill it in with the bucket tool.

Don't be afraid of using them, they are your friend! And if it helps while you're getting used to them, label them by what you drew on there.

All in all, it's really simple. I don't have a "magic trick", just observation and practice.

They are a very odd couple. And yet one of the best OTPs in the group. I think they're the only kismeses who are able to put aside their drama to be rational when they need to.
I also see the other fan kid I may app as being a weird auspistice; both Ang and Montor would be trying to recruit her for her skills, and she'd unintentionally get caught between them.
Of course, she wouldn't give anything to either of them because they could be one of Them (as in, imaginary conspirators that she's OCD about)

Montor has a very hard time "delegating" his information business to anyone. After all, information his his job. He'll try and steal it from others, but going up to someone and asking them for info feels like cheating to him.

I do like Ang and Montor's relationship. Too many people forget that kismeses are attracted to each other, and not just in it to FIGHT. I could hardly hope for someone better matched with Montor, whose main attribute is his intelligence. He is not below using Anguis' compassion for his own purposes, but at the same time, really enjoys being a challenge for someone of such high rank despite his many issues. Yes, he does care for Anguis in his own twisted way, though he believes his kismesis can usually get out of his own problems without any help (...unless it would be HUMILIATING for Ang to get his assistance. Yes, he would sell Anguis information, if he's willing to BEG for it.)

I'm also getting silly "alternate future" fic ideas for them... Montor on the run for his mutant blood, finding himself captured by a certain seadweller who remembers her moirail's wriggling day is juuuust around the corner and he hasn't seen his kismesis since Montor went into hiding...
