# About me
Hello. :)My name is Kayla and I'm from Kansas. Yes, I have met Dorothy and Todo. We chill at the Tin man's house all of the time.
Anywho, if you have seen my gallery, I do a lot of photography and a little drawing (both mediocre(sorry about that)).
If you would like to get to know me, I must warn you that I frequently spout some pretty wacky stuff. I have an opinion on most things, and I don't try to be weird... I just am. So, if you can't handle mindless ramblings and/or my definition of good music... Goodbye.
However, if you like sharing your ideas and art, I'd be happy to... view them.
If you'd like to get to know me better, just messge me or something. If you would like to be more private, note me! I may be sort of confusing, but I'll be your friend if you need one.
I like to learn new things, so if you have something random or direct to share--please do.
AND... If you have any bands/solo artists that you are currently in love with, tell me about them! Music is one of the biggest passions of my life, so feel free recommend some new stuff to me. Whether it be some random band you heard through the grape vine last week, or some original stuff, send me links or something.

I haven't given it much thought really, I just try to draw or paint anything that looks cool in my head! I suppose minimalism, mainly because I can't get people's details or proportions right :L

It's like your pulling information directly from my brain. Every time I try drawing some kind of super detailed person, there's like too much muscle on one arm and one of the legs are longer than the other. And every time I do get it right, I can't post it because it's on this huge paper that I can't upload through my scanner--I really need to take the stuff in my portfolio to like Kinko's or something. Honestly, my brain is buzzing with ideas that I can't follow through with because a lack of materials.

Hah yep, I know exactly what you mean. Why do people have to be so symmetrical... But at least it's all the more satisfying when you finish it. And yeah, it's frustrating. Kinda similar, I like making films, but a lot of the ideas just aren't possible without a big budget for camera, locations, software, etc.

Haha, I'm flattered. It is a shame that money is most people's goal instead of just being happy (although I guess they're the same thing for some), but yep, it seems you can't do a lot without it. If it's something you're proud of then it's definitely not a waste of time, even if it is small, and it's awesome you love your stuff. I like sci-fi a lot, but more like the small-scale kind, about the characters and ideas more than effects. I'm shooting one at the moment about the last day and night on Earth before it's hit by a meteor, with a bunch of students stuck on campus thinking about how they should spend it. It sounds depressing, but I'd like it to have a kind of optimism, even if everyone dies!

Exactly. I think you're my spirit animal. Money is something that I detest, and yet it seems you need it to do anything nowadays. Though, like you said... It's worth it. The satisfaction and whatnot. I feel so accomplished when I finish something, seemingly too much time and effort put into something relatively small. I never would have thought as a kid that I would be so in love with every piece of art I've made. Even the mess ups. You said you're into film, what kinds of films do you make?

Optimism in death. I like your style, guy. Haha. Humor aside, it sounds pretty cool. Apocalyptic circumstances with people just sort of starting their lives, and the differences in how they're dealing with it... I'm digging it. And I agree with your opinion on minimal effects--sometimes it can be a bit distracting. It leads your eyes away from the emotion an actor is giving off and pushes it onto random explosions in the background. Anyways, your film sounds like it's going to be an interesting one. Good luck.

Hey, cheers again for the fave, and forgot to mention! I finished the film in the end, it's online here if you ever want to watch it Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtthZXβ¦
Things could have been done better, but it's the first big film I've made and pretty happy with how it turned out, particularly the ending. Hope the art's going well!

I just recently made a tumblr and I already have 29 followers, a post that has 51 notes, and like two friends. It's awesome. And my achievements stay limited to the internet. Maybe someday I'll venture out into the real world. XD

Good ole' facebook. I can't remember the last time I've been on that. I always got annoyed with the constant site updates and family members interrupting conversations I had with friends over some photo. But I'm sure it has it's uses. lol
