Greetings, Rosie...just a note to say that I have been thinking about you while watching the Olympics, since they are taking place in your country! How wonderful for England to be in the spotlight with the whole world watching.
It seems that your country has been partying all year, with celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and now this.
I also think it is GREAT HOW YOUR NEWSPAPERS criticized Mitt Romney for being so rude as a guest visiting your country. He is out of touch and so aloof. I and my friends DO NOT like him at all.

I hope you're doing well.
Oh I've been watching too! I'm not a sporty person but I really like the Olympics, seeing the world come together, regardless of the state of world affairs and playing sport just makes me feel really good.
The world can be such a horrible place but I think the fact that we can all come together and celebrate the Olympics is wonderful.
Haha, yeah we've had quite the year or so.. We had the Royal Wedding, the Jubilee and now the Olympics. ^^
Oh yeah, I heard about that. It really made me sad that someone who was invited as a guest to the Olympics would have such bad things to say. There've been quite a few people who said bad things about the opening ceremony, saying it had a political agenda, and was far too liberal. All I can say to those people is that they didn't HAVE to watch, if they disliked it they could've just not gone. I thought it was wonderful, I know that you can't please everyone (and in Mitt Romney's case, you can't EVER please him) but I think all the preparation and hard work, which was mostly done by voulenteers who didn't get paid was fabulous. Seeing a country come together and celebrate all the things about it was great, and if Mr Romney didn't like it, he can bugger off.
I'm glad to hear that you and your friends don't like him though, in this country people think he's crazy! And I think they're quite right, he seems like a horrible man really.

It is refreshing to hear that your country and yourself do not support Romney. My friends and I are huge Obama fans. I believe that he is truly a visionary president and knows what has to be done to move the country forward, such as the Affordable Health Care Act. But there is a movement here in the U.S.--the Tea Party, which wants us to go backward instead of forward with a lot of issues (back to the failed Bush policies), and they control Romney or any Republican running for higher office
Then too, with Obama being black, that has brought out a lot of racism and hatred, even though they do not say it out right, but cover it in innuendos. It will be a close race!
