yayy I'm doing a minor work for multimedia too!
We're using mediator Which is like a simple version of flash.
I plan to make animations in flash and import them, 'cause there's abillionnn more things you can do with Adobe programs

scyleung In reply to xXKallieXx [2010-08-19 12:14:53 +0000 UTC]
why are you doing a minor work in yr 12?? aren't you suppose to be doing major work?? in fact! the ITM major work for yr12 on my school was due Monday!!
and import them... isn't that like.. cheating?? XD

xXKallieXx In reply to scyleung [2010-08-19 21:12:09 +0000 UTC]
yeah we did a major, now we've got another assessment. Blah!
Cheating? nahhh. Not if my teacher approved it

scyleung In reply to xXKallieXx [2010-08-20 00:39:29 +0000 UTC]
so you did your major work and then you do your minor work.... lol XD
why do you use that program if you can just use FLASH then??
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
xXKallieXx In reply to scyleung [2010-08-22 04:38:24 +0000 UTC]
I dunno. Its the one we learned as part of the syllabus, so the assessment requires us to prove we have the skills by using it. I'll do simple animations in mediator, then complex ones in flash

Nah, not counting down. Some people are.
I spend more time fantasizing about a future free of ranking, scaling, maths tests, ATARS, people thinking that HSC=fate, the daily chorus of 'what mark did you get?'...etcetcetc
But I don't count down to it, just look forward to the 'after' realm hahah

xXKallieXx In reply to scyleung [2010-06-09 10:30:30 +0000 UTC]
Heyy!
Yep HSC in about 5 months. Its approaching rapidly. Very rapidly.
Its a bit like that, the work you do in the senior years is so many levels above the junior years. Early high school is just this distant realm which sits between my childhood and the freight-train of NOW.
Yr 12 isn't all that different to yr 11, unless you decide you want to do 13 units and 3 major works, like I did. Its pretty hectic. I wanted to get the most out of my final year - that's just me. But honestly, its better paced than the squashed up 3 terms of year 11, and suddenly you're top priority, so the teachers are really willing to help you along. Just find some sort of balance between schoolwork and life, and you'll be right!
So how have you been? Still have dreams of joining the industry animal logic introduced us to all that time ago?...(actually it was pretty recent. Just feels like 10 years because of everything that's happened between then and now!)

scyleung In reply to xXKallieXx [2010-06-09 12:31:22 +0000 UTC]
I aren't really going that well... I mean, I just can't seem to study... I don't know, it is like I just can't, I wanted to, I know I have to... but you know XP I am prob not going to do 13 units, I mean, I really don't mind it they are things I like, but there is this subject I really dislike... and I really can't stand anymore of it.... I really really want to drop it ASAP, I will only have one major work, from multimedia, but I am pretty cool with that, I like multimedia, you prob guessed that XD I subject is really easy I guess, nothing hard with essay and stuff.
I sometime think about being in yr12... it seem so cool and different, and yet it seem so close, yr12 is like... big and grown up, and I really dont see my self as "big" nor do I see most people in my grade as like yr12 but they prob won't change that much in like 1.5/2 terms. Yr 12 just seem cooler, I mean, suddently you change from just a random inte school, to a yr12 random in the school!! because of the uniform different! lol, they just seem special, aspecially in our school where they don't have the last period, and their school start earlier... lol. Just can't believe it can be so close, yr 12 is always a distance thing, just feel so weird!

Ooo lucky! Multimedia studies! Our school didn't run that, or visual design - not enough people to make a class
My major works are for Art (of course!), English Extension 2, and IPT (which is actually finished now!)
Which one did you want to drop? I remember you saying you didn't really like engineering?
A lot of people see yr 12 as like, the biggest, most important year of their life - but its really not. Its just the biggest, most important year of school. So DO enjoy feeling special, and being at the top - but also keep in mind there's a whole world out there, and even though there's lots of pressure to get high marks etc. a low mark won't do much damage in the long run. Basically, try hard, but don't stress yourself out too much! Yr 12 is fun if you're doing subjects you like, so just enjoy it.
And don't worry. Half the people in my grade aren't close to being adults either Just look at the baby yr 7s if you want to feel a bit bigger hahahah

Lol, multimedia is fun!!!, I dont know that there is major work for IPT, what do you need to do?? and yea, I want to drop engineering study, never liked it, never expect it to be good either... Never been one for engineering!
lol, YAY special... next yr that is... I think I will enjoy yr 12, if I am not too busy... I am just scared I will be too busy to enjoy it.
It is not like adults i am talking about, but just yr 12 seem like specially grown up then the rest, and I don't feel like I am close to begin that grown up.

IPT major was to design a computerised system - including all software, hardware, layout, taking into acount all feasibility factors, how to train employees, how to put it all into pace, schedules, research, a billion diagrams, pros and cons of solutions, etc etc etc in this MASSIVE 3-part report. Not great fun, but easy, 'cause it was just a report . A very big one though.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it - it is busy, but, you know, productive busy.
haha don't worry you'll feel like a yr 12 once you're there!

lol, doesn't sound very good if you ask me... not my cup of tea XD lol report aren't my favorite word, lol
I do think yr12 will be fun and cool and stuff, but yea, I just hope there isn't like exams and assignments one after another >< is there exams and assignment one after another?? and hope I will have some "study" (free) period, lol I don't have any this year, do you?

xXKallieXx In reply to scyleung [2010-06-11 09:13:26 +0000 UTC]
Umm its sort of like, when you're not studying for exams, you're doing assessments, and when you haven't got assessments you're studying for exams. Term on term off sort of thing. But just make notes the whole way through, so that when it comes to exams you're not cramming. And there are breaks in between, like holidays.
I don't have any free periods because I do so many units, and they're all in the timetable as well as morning classes, but most people with 12 or less units, or TAFE classes/ extra morning classes instead of day classes, will have a number of free periods throughout the week. We also get half of Thursday off because we don't do sport anymore - so there's plenty of time to catch up on your work etc. Just plan and revise, and definitely have breaks. Lots of breaks!!
You'll be righttttt Once you're doing it, its not so bad, and goes really fast. Just enjoy it

yea, one thing after another DX that what I am talking about T.T sigh... but you know.. I am the lazy and cramming at literially the 5 minutes before exam sort of person, I guess I think studying for exam about dropping it is really useless kind of study and exam, I prefer just exam on general knowledge and like stuff you do acctually remember for a long time, that is what learning is all about after all, not remembering things for a few hour and then forgetting it...
how many units do you do?? I always feel bad and stupid when I think about me only doing 11 units... not working hard.. Xp and YAY no sport!! hahaha, can't wait ^^

xXKallieXx In reply to scyleung [2010-06-12 00:25:56 +0000 UTC]
I do 13 - but that really is a lot. 11 is a good, manageable number which gives you a whole unit to fall back on if one of the HSC exams doesn't go your way don't feel stupid at all!

Be positive! you're not going to do well if you're constantly telling yourself 'I'm gunna fail'. Srsly just try your best, and don't underestimate yourself
And even if the academic stuff doesn't go as well, you must have some form creative talent - otherwise animal logic wouldn't have accepted you for work experience!!
You'll be finee xxxxxx
