Heya! All commissioned work of characters is essentially paid concept art for a web comic we will be working on once scripting and designs have been finalized Nightshade is actually the place holder name for one of our characters who serves as a villain currently. I'll throw  a very brief plot summary below if your interested <3

Rough Summary;

Backstory:
Set in a time period just after the Nordic people vanished from their respective lands. Felines who were once companions to these warrior folk found themselves left behind, with no clue as to not why. These cats were much larger than your average moggy, and frequently used by the Nordic people to help hunt or even in battles to bring down horses or downed soldiers. They were held as loyal companions and beasts of battle to their masters. The more wealthy family's having armor fashioned for their felines. Some decorative, some purpose built to cause harm. When their owners/friends vanished, the cats were left to fend for themselves, and over generations, memories of their Nordic masters faded. The land began to reclaim itself, once populated areas taken over by flora. Cats found themselves falling into tribe like groups, each with their own respective color they adorned their pelts with in the form of war paint. Skills their Nordic masters once had were passed down from generation to generation. From learning to start and control fire, cooking food, to learning to build elaborate structures, skinning prey to even battle strategies. Many even braided their fur much like their fore bearers. Typically life within tribes was routine, and quiet. Though there were hundreds to even thousands of cats within each tribe, they were typically peaceful, even if they had power to take another tribes territory. They worshiped the same two entity's as their Nordic masters did, one they represented as a beautiful white feline like entity they refer to as Mother, who represents all good and joyful in their world, and the other they referred to as Father, represented as a shadow like feline figure. A conflict occurs between these two essentially cosmic powers, fighting for domination of their offspring, who are set to take their mantle of power. To the mortals below all that can be seen of this is severe bad weather (tornadoes/cyclones/earthquakes/Thunder Storms) until finally the burst of erratic weather stops as in a desperate attempt to remove her offspring from the grip of their father, the Mother flees to earth in a mortal form, and gives birth. But within a couple of days of her delivery, she is found by the Father, who pursues her as she desperately tries to escape, but she loses her child to the pursuing creatures of shadow sent by the Father. 

The story presented in the comic itself follows several story lines; But the over arcing story centers around the concept of corruption and redemption. It follows the aftermath of these events, as war breaks out and thousands are enslaved, recruited and killed. There are several characters who pull focus, each offering a unique perspective to the current events and each going through their own character arc as the series plays out.

The most recent piece done by Turnipberry is a series of character concepts of three 'villain' characters, Vrayguard, a captain under the Umbra's forces, Skiara, his right hand, and 'Nightshade', who is the center character and serves as a over arching villain. Her name is currently a place holder until we find something more fitting.

Oooh, yes. That sounds really interesting! I definitely can't wait to see this when you get started – it's such a unique storyline and concept.

Oh man I am so sorry! I totally forgot about that!  I'm still keen to commission you for sure! Though I'll likely grab a different character now bahaha. I'm also a bit broke so it might not be till towards the end of September if that's okay?

It depends on the scene, character, and shading. The most complicated, detailed piece I would do could be $35 to $50 dollars, but obviously there are less expensive options. If you give me some info on what you want, Subject, background, ext. I can give you a price estimate, and we can discus things from there. Go ahead and send me a note.
