Yup, Maria is a templar and she had a child with Altair apparently *u*
I think Desmond comes from that bloodline. If I remembered right, Altair had two children, and subject 16 came from the other bloodline.

There is only one small part about Altair...it was more like a flashback *u*
The rest is still all about Ezio (and some Desmond lol)
Basically Desmond saw Altair's secret meeting with Maria (and they did...you know what *wink*)...>u>
