I'm fine. I'm getting kinda frustrated though since I can't think of anything to paint now that 2-D art is over. =_=; I had a lot of fun over weekend going to those figure drawing classes though, but I was kinda disappointed that there were no male models (that would have been really helpful for the sculpture I'm making). At the very least I feel that my sense of anatomy has improved a bit, so life is good.
The semester's going fine. There were no real changes except for going from 2-D art to 3-D art. Plus it's going great because of all those days off we got because of the cold.
Yeah, I'm taking 3-D art (heh, i'm being kinda redundant aren't I?) well, anyway, I've got a thousand scratches and punctures all over my hands from making the armature for my sculpture to prove it.
The RMCAD event was ok I guess. I was sick though so I didn't get to enjoy the gallery as much as I would have liked to since I just wanted to go home and take some Tylenol and a nap... plus, my silly little lamppost looked kinda insignificant compared to all the creative, colorful works throughout the place.
(heh, and we never really talk anyway. If only I spoke as much as a type... orz)
Anyway, how have you been lately? Are you taking 3-D art this semester?

I couldn't find anything to draw while I was in 2-D. Actually, just didn't feel like doing anything. Love drawing, but I don't want it graded. I want to do it for the fun of it, freely.
Sorry you didn't get any male models to help. What sculpture are you doing?

I wouldn't have minded it so much, but youth group got cancelled too along with basketball. I don't mind having the time off from basketball, but I become a fatty way too easily. My sports metabolism kicks in, and I have no way to work it off. don't like that much. That, and I don't like being couped up all day.
I remember doing armatures. Ever since a night years ago at youth group, I've had a fear of chicken wire. Sounds really stupid, but I cut up my hand really bad. It's a very long story. To attempt to cut it short, we had a huge cocoon for a sermon series that turned into a ginormous pinata. My hand got to close when I hit it...
I'm sorry you were sick. That's the way I felt about my art last year too. I was looking around, wondering what they saw in my art. It was definitely interesting to look at. Some, you gotta wonder what was going through their head when they composed it.
It's all good. There are times I wish I was as quiet as you are.
I'm ok. Gettin spoiled with school this year, all these cancellations, delays, stuff like that. Nah, not taking 3-D art this semester. Figured I'd try poetry. It's not necessarily not as fun, there's just more homework. I love writing poetry almost as much as drawing. Plus, I wouldn't have copyrights to my idea for my sculpture. I want to do Jack Skellington, and I was going to try to find a way to work in Zero. My other idea I think would be too complicated...at least for my senior year.

i don't really mind having it graded. though i kinda wish he'd give me a B on a work or something. i'd just mean that i need to work harder to improve... but i guess he's just giving me A's for effort since i end up taking about a month just to finish one drawing or painting @_@
i understand wanting to draw freely, but the good thing about having the teacher there is that he can give you advice on how to make the drawing better, and the good thing about actually having the class is that it pushes you to actually finish a drawing and put some effort into it.
i'm going to make an art dump soon (i hope) and i'll put the drawing of the design in there.
it's actually kinda shocking seeing how much i've improved actually.... especially after looking back at my drawings from just a couple months ago...
heh, the weather is starting to get kinda annoying. lately all i've wanted to do is stay in bed under 5 quilts to stay warm since my furnature covers the vent in my room, but i think it should start to warm up pretty soon... or at least i hope it will.
one good thing about staying home all this time though is that i've been able to catch up on some much needed sleep.
yeah, that chicken wire is pretty painful, but i don't mind it that much. i just don't like bleeding all over the place. when i was fixing up my armature the other day, i kept finding blood stains all over the thing.
well, don't get me wrong, i really like being quiet. i love how the teachers don't call on me very often, and that people don't talk to me very often. it gives me time to think and i don't really feel any pressure to think of anything particularly interesting.
...the downside is that i'm kinda out of practice when i do need to talk to somebody. it usually just ends up in an awkward silence, or i just end up rambling about something stupid (heh, you should know ^_^;; )
well, poetry sounds like fun.

not writing poetry (though i suck at that too) but just reading it. i always feel bad when i don't understand what i'm reading, and i feel like i'd be sinning by trying to probe it to find the meaning in it...
i don't think a complicated sculpture would be too bad. mine's actually pretty complex for my first sculpture. i'm kinda worried about how it'll turn out, especially because of how much mr custer is expecting from me...
oh! and i have to admire how you actually take the time to capitalize everything you need to in your posts @_@ i'm just soooo laaaaazy~

I could care less if my art's graded, and I love to improve, but I also like being self-taught, more than I like being not self-taught(couldn't think of anything else for that). If I really get stuck, then I'll ask for help. I kinda know where you stand. My art teachers have always admired my work. Not only that but other people just go on and on about it. It gets annoying sometimes. I don't mind the praise, but I don't like it. It's good to get complements, but when that's all people talk about...
I just wish some people would tell me something i could have done to make it better.
I try to put art on as soon as I could get it done. Improvement for me means making things look more realistic and different from each other, better anatomy, more details in my character's clothes, stuff like that. I can't wait to see it. Eventually, I'll get in there and look at what people are doing. I love seeing the creativity come out in people. That's one of my favorite things in art.
Yeah. I agree. I'll be sitting there in English class or calc freezing my tail off thinking to myself that I should be still sleeping. I hate the cold. In fact, if I were to ever be called away from my church or leave my church, I'd move down to Florida or something. I can't wait til it warms up. I miss eating lunch outside and being outside in shorts, some tennis shoes, and a tank/t-shirt.
I don't think I ever bled with the chicken wire. I was careful. At least you can say sweat and blood went into your work. 
I try to be quiet during class. I wish I could zone more. Class goes by quicker, and I'm not bored. The only downside, it's hard to get good grades, esp in English(when Good doesn't even like us anyway).
I have trouble talking with or without practice. I'll say something and totally mess it up. Then I just tell people English isn't my first language. i hate talking, mainly because in my house, there's all talk, no action stuff. Drives me nuts.
I usually ramble anyway. I'm good at that.
Not sure I like poetry much anymore. I try to understand it, try to figure out it's meaning and what the person's trying to say. I come up with something, and it's shot down. I still almost wish I would have taken art. We read so much in poetry. I have that plus what we get in English. 
Senioritis! I don't feel like doing anything complicated, or really anything school related. It's really kicking my butt this year and making life hard.
I'm sure it'll come out great. It doesn't matter how much people expect out of you as long as you do your best and be you. I'm more of a street ball player when it comes to basketball (in more ways than one). people can say what they want about me, and I'll just smile and nod. As long as I'm playing my best and we're winning, I'm happy. I know that sounds selfish, but the point is don't let the fear of what people say affect you.
Thanks. It's the Vanguard nerd coming out in me. I've been at that school for 13 years. you kinda get used to it after a while, then when you want to just chillax and not care about it, you do anyway. Really sucks. I'd write it, but I'd have to go back and fix it. I don't know if it's my OCD or Vanguardian coming out, but...yeah. I don't like it sometimes.
