You can bet on it! DA2 was childish, repetitive, and the companions were just too annoying! The only one I liked was Varric. Fenris was a mix of Final Fantasy and Edward Cullen, and Anders.. then there was Isabella who was like a female Zevran, but without that gayish side that made me roll on the floor laughing. I find DAO companions unforgettable, while DA2.. Also, no choice on my origin. WHERE'S MY BLOOD ELF DAMNIT!
The only moment I thought, "this is awesome" was the last scene with the moving statues. Period.

I know right? It's like they took all the basic plot elements from origins and half-assed them into little mini-quests and poorly written characters! I liked Anders in awakening, but in 2? He turns into a psychotic emo crybaby.
I missed being able to be an elf as well. Half the fun in origins was snacking at the humans every other scene! XD
Also, yes, the moving statues were bitchin.

In the end, in Origins, I chose the queen, and Alistair went away. in the text in the ending there was written that someone saw him in a bar, drunk.
And HE WAS! At the hanged man! Horrible! Zevran II level! Babbling! Well, at least Bann Teagan came to save him

Yeah, I was really disappointed. Have you ever played Mass Effect? It's also from our Bioware guys. After DA2, I was a bit fearing Mass Effect 3, the final chapter of the trilogy, where my beloved Shepard would save the galaxy blah blah blah. I has also heard before that works on DA2 were shortened to deepen ME3.
AND IT WAS A COMPLETE LETDOWN. An awful ending, full of story bugs, at the point that 91% gamers rated it "horrible" on the official site. Bioware even released an Ending DLC to peace fans (almost in vain).
So.. I really fear DA3 now. Let's hope for the best.

well, the release date is set for 2014. Honestly, they have a perfect set up for a sequel, with the plot paved out for them in gold and fucking christmas lights. if they fuck this game over, i may have to applaud them for reaching a previously unknow level of dumbassery.
my biggest fear is that they let us down on the party character personalities. since half the game is character development and personal interactions, they really cant afford another fucking ANDERS. im still so pissed they took a great charcter and RUINED him with gratuitous angst...

theve hinted that its going to be in orlais. and as for having a warden back? it wouldnt be YOUR warden. think about it, it would be like, 15 years later, and the timeline doesnt mesh at ALL with awakening. it just wouldnt work.
id prefer to have a whole new character. especially if i can be an elf again! you tottally have that one right!
