Thank you. I actually heard about it though the animation podcast. And I naively applied not really knowing the crazy reputation of the school. It was a great time though and I'm actually in my last year there right now.

I had animated before. I just didn't really know anything about calarts. Until i got in i wasn't sure if i wanted to go to film school or animation school.

i had a pretty good indication that that is what i wanted to do. I went to CSSSA in my junior year of high school and knew right then that i wanted to do that. I had animated before that but never had i been around other people who loved animation. It was great, but Calarts is even better! I'm going to miss it a lot when i leave.

Hey, thanks! I've done a couple things digitally, but they're pretty terrible. I have a really difficult time drawing with a tablet/stylus and I don't know how to properly use the programs. I just learned how to change brushes and use layers in photoshop today because of Fran's class. It seems like you're doing a lot of digital work?

yeah i pretty much suck at most traditional methods. I started using a tablet back in the 6th grade, so I've been doing digital work for a while. my first time really ever using paint was in leo hobaica's class during my first year. Digital though should be pretty easy for you to pick up, its just a matter of getting used to it and committing all the short cuts to muscle memory, so you don't have to think of the process.

Wow, I have to say that your work and style has changed a lot recently, and definitely a lot since I last saw you (that was way too long ago)! I was wondering, would you be interested in doing a commission sometime in the future, probably the cover design for a zombie/apocalypse/wasteland survival bow/weapon/knife/sword guide? I know you're main thing is animation, but your graphic design is awesome and your new style is quite captivating. Thanks bro.
