ooc."plotted literate rps" i got uIt was odd, wasn't it, how he was always stuck cleaning up the Winchester's messes. "Your problems always come first," he had stated, and of course they had believed him. Well, maybe not Sam, but Sam was .. different. And Cas blamed himself for it to be quite honest, if he had tried just a little harder, maybe the tall Winchester wouldn't have come back soulless. Maybe he wouldn't have been such, and to quote Dean, a 'dick'. But Cas couldn't worry about that; for the moment, anyway, oh he was definitely going to worry about it later. In the past soulless people had never been a good thing, always going about on a rampage and serial killer sprawls and even reapers had their trouble with them because that's what Death wanted -- souls. Where do soulless people go when they die? The angel had a theory that it was purgatory, which was exactly what he wanted to find. His urge was so strong that he had even enlisted Crowley's help for it, something that the angel was now starting to regret.
Because he had to clean up Crowley's messes up now, too, double overtone for the angel. Everyone assumed he was some big bad guy who could do everything, and while he used to think so too, he had quickly found out that he could wear down if he worked too hard. But no, tonight was a new start, and he felt pretty confident he could complete this task. The hunt was simple: a kistune. Bobby had dealt with one before, choosing to ram her through a wood chipper instead of the traditional way. Well, Castiel had no wood chipper on hand, but even a kitsune couldn't overcome an angelic power.
The thing was, this wasn't in the states. Crowley had specifically commanded him to go to the source of it: Japan. Because Crowley wanted the alpha. Of course he did, and he was too lazy to do it on his own. But the angel didn't complain, he wasn't going to. He'd been to Japan before, of course, but that was many moons ago, before this vessel had lived and before Samuel's grandfather had lived. Castiel was curious how it'd changed, but he didn't want to spend too much time dwelling. Just in and out, though that proved much harder than originally planned.
Kitsunes were secretive creatures - their names literally meant 'fox', which was kind of ironic if you thought about it too hard. Castiel didn't. But he did need to ask around, see if he could find any information on weird things that had happened. He was trying his best to not just force it out of people, actually engaging in conversation -- well, with the ones who could speak English, of course. He found himself in a tea shop, his last stop of the night, because most small businesses were going to close soon. The angel stood rather awkwardly by the window, unsure whether or not to approach. He instead chose to look through his notes, not that there was much on there quite yet. He'd talk to the owner .. soon enough.ooc.weh sorry im on mobile r/n so !!

It was business as usual in the Komorebi tea house. Kiku kept himself busy all day, making and serving tea to the folk that came in and out with little time for a break. Usually he had a few employees to help him out, but for the past week he's been working alone. Two of his employees had quit, after the other three had, well... vanished.
Kiku couldn't afford to close the shop, even after losing after all his workers. This tea shop was his only way to make a living, and the sentiment he felt in regards to the old place was much too strong to let him just close it down. It was a family business, and keeping it running at this point was a matter of honour. Business was booming, despite the recent events. Though of course there were some rumours, he'd managed to convince the press not to publish anything about the disappearances over the past couple weeks, about the three workers who'd disappeared at night just after leaving their shift. To anyone who came to his shop asking about it, Kiku plastered on a polite smile and used his most calm and soothing voice to deny as much as he could. If word got out publically about the mystery surrounding the shop, The Komorebi would be done with, for good. And Kiku wasn't about to let that happen.
Kiku finished up the cup of green tea for his β hopefully last β customer, giving him a small smile and polite bow in return for the man's thanks. His gaze following the man closely as he turned and headed through the door, Kiku's fake smile fell into a slight frown. It wasn't dark yet; he would probably be fine, but...
Just then, Kiku's eyes caught on a foreigner β a rather scruffy-looking, white man just standing there, looking through a notebook. Kiku blinked, surprised. Foreigners didn't usually find his quaint little tea shop β it was sort of on the outskirts of town, near the forest β it was certainly not anywhere near the tourist-visited areas of Tokyo. His surprise quickly drained, immediately replaced by suspicion as he realized the man wasn't here for tea.
Washing the green powder off his hands absently with his clean white cloth, he eyed the stranger. "Ah, excuse me, sir β can I help you?" He raised his voice only a little, speaking in softly accented English (as he assumed this man would speak); his tone was polite and soft as it always was, but the hard stare he was giving probably betrayed his apprehension.
