I really would like to do artistic nudes such as yourself but i don't really know how to get started other than obviously a camera (which i have already).

first of all i must say that i have no clue about artistic or professional photography. i'm a video professional. many of my nudes are my friends posing voluntary for my amateur works. as they are not professionals, many of them want to keep their ids secret. most of the time this is the way i do. we arrange place, date, equipment, etc. and we (not only me ) take pictures.

of course there are several more ways to find a nude model: model agencies, registering to web sites gathering artists and models, checking the models on deviantart, etc.

i hope this gives you an idea.

That does help, where are all my friends like yours haha! For equipment. Do you use extra lighting? It's still pretty nerve wrecking to ask someone ya know?

i try to use daylight very often. i also use extra lighting. different flashes, halogen lights, hot and cold lights we use for video and film making, ordinary table lamps, fluorescent lights, candles, etc. there are tutorials for lighting on many web sites.


tip: you can go to nudist beaches and organizations to make new friends like mine.
