Description This is a baby Kovu who is in need of a bath! I like the dirt on him, it makes him look even cuter!

Story!!!

Scar stormed out of the lions den, and past by Sarabi.
"What's wrong, Scar?" Sarabi asked, but the King didn't answer.
Scar continued to walk away, until he bumped into Sarafina. At first, Sarafina started to walk away, then noticed her old friend's worried face.
"What's wrong Taka?" she asked.
"Don't call me that," he ordered. "And nothing is wrong."
"No, something's wrong. I know you, Taka. I know when your upset."
"I just said nothing is wrong!" Scar yelled. "And never call me by that name again!"
Scar started to growl. Sarafina backed away, and went to Sarabi.
Scar walked away from the lionesses. How was he going to get a heir at this rate? He would have to wait until Tama was in heat again, and he was getting older. He couldn't go to Zira even if he wanted to. She wouldn't be in heat right now. And every other lioness was either too old or not willing to give him a cub. He would have to find one. Leave the Pridelands.
"Ed!" he yelled. "Go watch Tama! Take a few other Hyenas with. Make sure she doesn't leave."
Ed laughed and went to go some other Hyenas to help guard the lioness.
Scar started to walk towards the Outlands. He knew there was some lioness there, but not many. Food was scarce there, and now, it was in the Pridelands. Maybe he would find a starving mother who would give up her cub? Very unlikely, but he still would try.
But before he could even reach the Outlands, he was greeted by his son.
"Hey, King Scar," Nuka said.
Scar glared down at the little cub.
"I'm busy," he said. "No go and play with your mother or something."
"But mom is asleep. She just got done hunting."
"And she caught something?"
"Yeah!" Nuka said happily. "She got a antelope! A big one too!"
Scar forgot how good Zira was at hunting. The lionesses in the Pridelands couldn't even find anything today, yet Zira, all by herself, had already eaten and fed her cub. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to basically banish her...
"Well maybe you should go to sleep too," Scar said, trying to walk away.
"But I wanted to know how my dad was doing."
"What did you say?" Scar snapped. "Did you just say I'm your father?!"
Nuka put his ears down and mumbled, "Yes."
"How do you know that?" Scar asked.
"Mommy told me! She said I was little when I was born. And that you wouldn't love me until i was bigger. So I've been training! And once I'm big and strong, you will let me be prince!"
Scar was shocked at what his son was saying. He didn't know Zira told Nuka Scar was his father. And, small or big, Scar would never let this hairball be his heir.
"Err, I see," Scar said. "Why don't you just run along? I am very, very busy."
Before Nuka could answer, Scar ran off towards the Outlands, leaving the young cub alone.
As Scar ran, he looked around for a little cub. He didn't expect to find one today. No, not on his first try. It may take days, weeks, maybe even months before he found a cub that was alone.
Right as he said that, he tripped over some large object. Scar fell down, face first. Quickly getting up, he turned to see what he tripped on. Or who he tripped on.
A lioness was lying down, panting. Scar had kicked her hard, but she didn't move. She just lied there. She was breathing though.
"Hello?" Scar asked. "Are you ok? I didn't mean to kick you."
The lioness barely lifted up her head, then lied it back down, saying nothing.
Scar, carefully walked over her, and sat down next to her. She had a giant slash mark on her neck and back. Like she had been attacked.
And then, he noticed the little ball of fur, sleeping one, two feet away. Scar leaned down to the lioness, nudging her. She barely opened her eyes, staring at this lion.
"What happened to you?'" he asked, almost whispering to her.
The lioness opened her eyes slightly, and focused them on Scar.
"Another Pride attacked me," she said faintly. "They didn't see my cub. He's only two days old. Please...take him."
Scar stared over at the young cub. Even though it wasn't his, it did resemble him. Even if the cub was covered in dirt.
"I promise to take good care of him," Scar said. "What's his name?"
"Kovu," the lioness replied. And that was the last thing she said. She closed her eyes, and her breath slowed down. Slower, slower, until she wasn't breathing at all.
I cannot believe my luck! Scar thought. A cub! Right here! And he's a male! I have a heir!
Then, another side of Scar came out. He felt bad for the mother. She was just trying to protect her cub. And it killed her because of it. She was so desperate for Kovu's survival, that she gave his up to a complete stranger as she was dying. She wasn't that cub to survive no matter what. Yes, she was taking a risk. What if Scar didn't want the cub? It would be dead.
Another side came out of Scar that he hadn't seen since he was a cub. Since before he gained his scar. A side that everyone called "Taka".
Scar stopped feeling bad about the lioness and reached down, grabbing the young cub. It struggled a bit, but stopped soon. He must have been a little weak since he probably hadn't eaten.
Scar carried him back to the Pridelands, back to the den. Tama was feed her young cub, which she named Vitani. Scar put the cub down right next to his new mother and sister.
"What's this?" Tama asked.
"I said I needed a heir," Scar exclaimed, "so I found one."
"You just took someone's cub! What did you do to the mother!?"
"I promised the mother I'd take care of her cub! His mother was dying! So, I gratefully took him in!"
Tama felt this was a lie, but didn't argue him. Kovu started to drink from Tama.
"And when he's done eating," Scar said. "Clean him up. He is covered in dirt."
"Yes, Scar."
Scar walked out the cave, pleased that he now had a heir.
But this worried Tama. If she were to escape, she didn't know if she were going to leave this cub. She decided to take Vitani, on;y because she was afraid of what Scar would do to the cub. But Scar wanted this little boy. He wouldn't harm it or kill it or do anything to it. But still. She felt bad leaving it alone with Scar. Or even in the Pridelands. All the plants had died. The water hole was nearly dried up. There was nothing left of the Pridelands besides a rock. That was it.

Just wanted to stay, the next day, if Simba had survived in this story, is when he'd come back with Nala. But, since Simba died in this story, Nala never found him, and is still searching for help. She might find someone else...*hint* *hint*

You wrote a good story and did a good job on the picture of baby Kovu. I like how Kovu brought Taka out of Scar once more (even if it didn't last very long). Did you know that someone wrote a question asking who Kovu's real parents were to Darrell Rooney, the director of the Lion King II, and he told that person that Kovu was taken in or adopted by BOTH Scar and Zira?

Thank you for the complement, and about the question, I did not know that and later on, (SPOILER ALERT!!) Zira would take in Kovu (and Vitani) when Tama tries to escape. So she kind of adopts him
