Did you buy Vue or have you been using a demo version for a while? I tried to use the demo (free) version but it came out nothing like my terragen 2 works. I probably just do not know how to use it perhaps?

thank you I have the full version but I started working with the PLE, and yeah, it has some disadvantages (max 800×600 resolution, watermarks etc...). lol yeah, Vue is a very complex software. I use it for about 3-4 months and still don't know it to its 100%. Personally, I prefer Vue to Terragen, but it takes a lot of time and practice to learn to use it. Keep experimenting and then you can decide which one is better

no there isn't any differences in resolutions and your can make higher resolution renders too (more than 800×600; I've just checked it ). The only differences are watermarks and the Vue logo in the right low corner. You can also make ultra or higher quality renders with PLE.

This came out really well, the only thing that destroys its realism is how both planets have two different phases. If two planets were in nearly the same spot in the sky like here, they should have their "lit-side" in the same direction...always pointing towards the Sun ( here, one is front-on and the other is pointing away )

The rest is great though.

thank you! Yeah, it's not so realistic because of the planets, but I didn't really wanted it to be. Actually this wanted to be an eclipse, one planet covers the other, but it came out this way. I couldn't create it in another way.
