I set up the scene how I wanted it and then saved it in XPS as an .obj file. Then I went over to blender and opened up the obj I made in XPS. I set up the materials, so the correct textures for each mesh, the lighting and the camera. Finally I changed the amount of samples for the final render and picked a 16:9 resolution size, 2560x1440 in this case.
So basically I use blender to light and render the scene I "built" in XPS. I hope you can understand what I'm writing here. Sorry if I spelled sth wrong

This looks awesome! Is XNALara and Blender complicated to use? I've noticed a lot of people have been using them and I'd like to try it out if it's easy to learn the tools provided in the programs.

Like XMaxineCaulfieldX already said, getting used to XPS is really easy. I don't think you should've any problems with that. Then once you're happy with your set up scene you can export it as an .obj file and then do the camera, lighting and rendering in blender. Imo blender is also fairly easy to learn, I think the hardest part is if you decide to render with the cycles engine, which I'd recommend, finding out what all the different nodes for setting up the materials do. But there are loads of tutorials for blender if you should ever get stuck or do not know how to do something. I like working with it and I think you'll like it, too

Awesome, thanks. Do you have any in-depth tutorials I could look at for both programs? Blender looked really complicated when I first opened it. I couldn't even move the camera!

So the first blender tutorial I ever watched was made by a guy called Dragonlord720 (YouTube and Deviantart). That pretty much covered most things I needed to know about how to make a fancy render using XPS and blender.

I never really looked up any XPS tutorials, because after trying out stuff I mostly knew what I could do with this program. So unfortunately I can't really recommend you any XPS tutorials, sorry

there are loads of blender video tutorials available on youtube, I'd recommend you to check out the video series "Blender 101" by "Aaack Aardvark". That should definitely help you to get started with blender. Other great people, who make really informative blender content on youtube are for example Blender Guru, BornCG, Blender Cookie, Gleb Alexandrov and CG Geek. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for. I can also offer you my help just in case, even though I'm not so great at explaining but I'll see what I can do.

Yes please! To get myself started. I've already put Max's models into it, and I know how to rotate and move the bones. I just need some more knowledge about the other tools.
