I got poision ivy and "chiggers" in the woods, and my legs itch like crazy...

I have poison ivy on my arms, and I'm beginning to wonder if a chigger is not what is making the back of my leg itch like crazy... But being in the woods is too much fun not to go!

I agree that it is worth it.

I itches most when I go to bed. Drives me a bit crazy!

I read online somewhere that running hot water, as hot as you could stand it, over the area for 5-10 minutes would stop the itch altogether for a number of hours. So, I tried it and it worked!! I didn't itch for about 6 hours!

Thank you for the tip. I think I scalded the little bugs.
It seems to work. I also scrubbed with Betadine, and then Calamine lotion.

Oh yes!! Calamine always helps!! I think we're never without that in the cabinet! Hope it's getting all better now!

Thanks!

I am enjoying film.
The F5 is an amazing camera. I hope digital comes down in price someday soon.

I agree, it is lovely to really capture a good photo or moment. I'm still using a Kodak EasyShare, I'm pretty rough on Camera's. But I'm looking into getting something with better resolution soon!!

Thank you!

Kodak uses the C41 process for BW400CN film, and there is something of an orange mask, since this film was designed for prints, not to be scanned from the negative. I think if I scanned the print rather than the negative, it would appear more traditionally B&W.

Thanks!

The F5 is new, but about 1/10th of the original price.
Film and processing end up at nearly $1 per shot, whereas digital is nearly free (once you have the camera, computer, software, etc.)

I am enjoying using film again. This camera is an inspiration, and the professional B&W film is worth the money.

Wow, film... whats that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

0149 In reply to mohaganbev [2008-07-07 21:19:53 +0000 UTC]

It is easier than digital!
More forgiving with low-light, and I am "Photoshopping" more in my head before I take the shot now.

I recommend it.
The F5 is an amazing camera. I suppose I just need to re-learn...

mohaganbev In reply to 0149 [2008-07-20 05:42:59 +0000 UTC]

I have a film camera too, but not an SLR, but you are so right about low-light

0149 In reply to mohaganbev [2008-07-20 05:48:21 +0000 UTC]

Digital for me needs a tripod.
I bought a vibration reduction lens, which claims to give 4 f/ stops, but I still get blurry images.

I am re-learning to use a tripod.
