The Lekku:
They are the "Universal Horn" from the v4 creature creator add on. I started using them because I wasn't fully satisfied by the Community Lekku Project (CLP) package. It's a good pack, but I wanted something a little more universal, and also to match SWTOR (the mmo game I play). That's when I found this, and it was love at first sight! They can be used with v4, g2f, m4, or any other base you can think of. They are not fitted to the figure, they are only parented. There is a bit of post-work where the lekku meets the head, but after doing it many times, it take less than a minute.
The headpieces:
I use are a combination of the CLP pack and my own. The one that Fern wears is created from scratch. It was too unique to coble together from other stuff, and it's such a big part of what she looks like, I just had to do it. If you look back at some of my older renders of her, you can see the progression of her headpiece from bad to better, lol. I will be making more unique headpieces in the future, but that's when I get the time to work on personal stuff.
For the other girls I use the CLP pack with most everything but the headpiece and the ear-points turned off. Depending which girl it is, I hide more or less of the ornament and mod the textures.
The thing that kind of makes me mad about that headpiece, is that it used to have like 4 other headpiece morphs in it that you could change to. They used to work for me, but one day they stopped. It is now stuck in the default headpiece forever, I guess! I've tried darn near everything to get it working again to no avail. So no "Oola" until it "starts" working again.

I never thought to use the Universal Horn. That thing has been sitting in my runtime this entire time while I've struggles with PhilC and CLP lol. Thanks. I'm definitely going to have to look into using that for both my twi'leks and when I work on nautolans.
For being made from scratch, Fern's headpiece looks very nice. Great work on that!
The only way I can get the CLP's other headpieces to work is by importing their OBJ's into the scene and then parenting and texturing them myself. It's a royal pain. I shouldn't complain though. If I want better products, I should make them, right? Well, my togruta project is limping along, but it's my training wheel project. Once I finish it I'm sure that my own twi'leks and nautolan headpieces will go a lot smoother.
