Description By this time the the rain had begun.

Dodge produced the A-100 series from 1964 through 1970. Most of the production was vans, but they made pickups too, and these have always been among my personal faves though they were rare here. Through their run you could get them with 2 sizes of the famous Slant-6 engine or with a couple of V8s, including a 318.

When Mattel first began to produce their Hot Wheels toys, a wild custom surfer version of the A-100 was among the first 16 types offered.

Yeah, me too. ~sigh~ Wish they were still around. I've seen a little thing vaguely like it around here made by Honda, but by comparison, it's way too small and it only reminds me of these.

Seriously? The one I saw, assuming it was the same one I saw several times, said "Honda" on the tailgate.

I think it's the Honda Acty. Saw it on Wikipedia. Kind of cute, but the bed walls are too low, imo.

I'll check it out. I've added you to my watch. Things are slowing down here for photo ops, and I'll have way more time to appreciate. I've found 2 importers of a lot of these little trucks and cars into Canada. Unlike a lot of US states, there are no restrictions on them here - as long as they pass muster for emissions and roadside safety. They're beginning to intrigue me, I have to admit. Life around here is mostly 50mph roads, and a bit of town traffic. I avoid the city like the plague. Fuel mileage that competes with my motorcycles sounds pretty good - as long as they come with heaters.

well i know it's pretty cold in Canada so they need those heaters, over here in Puerto Rico it's not a big deal as well,i'veseen some microvansfrom the DominicanRepublic and from the Virgin Islands as well, not to mention i still see the 1rts gen SA310 Suzuki hatches on the road, this is the Carry van i told you about [link] i've seen some Daihatsu Hijets as wel;,there's even one in front of my old Middle School

I've been staring at this one and it's giving me ideas... [link] That place is too far away from me, but I've found one within about 3 hours drive. Heaters here are a must. We can get 90+F in the summer down to as low as -40F in the winter, but -20F for a few days at a time is more normal in my area. At 40 below, your car starts to talk back to you when you try to start it. "Leave-me-alo-o-o-one. Go-awa-a-a-ay".

no matter what colour or style i see one in, the pickup version always makes me think of Bill Maverick's Little Red Wagon.
