please someone  tells  for furry metal kitty that ponies were based on the personalities of the actions of the girls, not a  question of   twilight know calculations or  reading of books but as thinks  and acts in battle, the same with shy pony it, medic is a class with high regeneration and focus on healing and greater protection of mercenaries for him, while sniper is alone and acted like that.

Never got Twilight Sniper.

The argument is that Sniping takes math, but you have two classes that are smarter (Engineer and Medic), so if one was going to fit Twilight with an intellectual class, would not they be better?

It seems to me Twilight got shoehorned into the Sniper role just because Engi has an accent and flutterfans will not even hear of Fluttershy being a non-healer.

Here’s something: They probably chose Twilight as the sniper either because maybe at the time 2 slots were missing, or because of Twilight’s professional behavior. Both Twilight and the Sniper follow standards: Be polite, be efficient, and have a plan.

I put less stock on Twilight's planning skills and more stock on the fact she's a hyper-intelligent sorceress with a love of science and fantastical arcane powers.  The Sniper, in contrast, only has one skill; shooting things.  He's not the kind of guy who turns mice into horses, frogs into oranges, or friends into vampire bats.  The most amazing thing he does is turn living people into dead people.  The Sniper maybe a good planner, but the Medic is a super scientist who builds advanced technology that invokes Clarke's Third Law.

Between the Sniper and the Medic, the Medic is really the most likely merc to be considered a sorcerer by Equestrian standards.

Sniper is pretty intelligent too.

There's no indication that the Sniper is particularly intelligent.  He's not stupid, but he's no genius; he's average.  Really, Rainbow Dash could be the Sniper.  The two share similar personalities, so really she'd likely fit the role better than Twilight.

In that case the Heavy is the single most magical merc of them all.

Personally, I would make Twilight the Spy before I made her the Sniper.  The Sniper doesn't really do anything special -- about all you need is a good aim.  Spy, however, needs to have a decent grasp of the meta and needs to know how to keep his enemies from figuring him out.

Plus I just love this line; "I can feel the unicorn friendship magic coursing through my veins!"

I never understand Demo-Jack, what's the first thing you think of when some mentions Applejack, an alcoholic psychopath, of course

First, this comment is two years old.  Second, that comment has nothing to do with what I said.  Third, I assume Applejack strikes you as more of a squishy techie who relies on fancy machines to do the fighting for her and dies when people so much as look at her funny? Finally, Applejack is fairly rowdy compared to the Engineer, who is almost disturbingly relaxed.

you know I've been meaning to ask you, you always complain about Twilight throwing urine jars, well have you ever thought about Twilight using... oh I don't know.... the STOCK smg for a secondary?

The SMG is worse.  At least the Jarate has utility.

woah, woah, woah, a STOCK weapon being the worst, you must be pulling my leg, the stock weapons are ALWAYS said to be the best.

The Sniper's SMG has among the lowest DPS in the entire game, and is more for harassing enemies or finishing them off - it doesn't do well in a straight up fight.

Jarate on the other hand can put out burning teammates, make enemies vulnerable to mini-crits, and exposes enemy spies.

you know I could go into HOURS explaining all the pros and cons of Sniper's secoundary weapons, but luckily I don't HAVE to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ld8hK3…

If it takes you hours then you're overselling the weapons.  The Sniper's SMG does pitiful damage, and is more or less used to harass, dissuade, or finish off weakened enemies.  Ideally, you should not be in a situation where you need it, because when enemies are close enough for it to do significant damage, they're close enough for their weapons to hit harder too, and are more than likely better built to survive being shot at than you are.  The Jarate meanwhile is more team oriented, and has multiple uses.

The goal of the Sniper is to not be in a position to need the SMG.
Jarate is infinitely more useful and has more support potential.
You may lack in immediate defensive power, but if you're not using the Machina you can easily rectify this.
