Just a little sketch dump as I haven't drawn anything in a while. I think I nailed the bottom left crusher!The more I look at this thing the more I wonder if Ernie is some sort of mechanical genius XD
Sorry about the image quality the scanner is playing up at the moment but hopefully I'll get it running again soon...

Nice diagram drawings man. 
It's funny, I guess most people would see that thing instantly as a face, and yeah it does kinda look like a stylized skull or something. But to be honest those 'eyes' just look like vents to me. As I tried to explain in my diagram, I think there's a door inside that slides up and down to open or close the little black openings there. Those openings leading into the top of the cylinder that the block moves up and down in. I could see it as a way for it to control the topside pressure inside, maybe use air-pressure to help in downward force to crush things. It's also where I think the steam hiss sound comes form.

Engine room, gee just goes to show how freaking MASSIVE this is! So is the crusher just a highly exaggerated version of a real life compactor or are there leviathans (I love that name for this machine) like this in real life?
Yeah I think those 'eyes' are what some other kids got scared by...if they weren't already scared by the magnet XD I was a real ballsy kid (kid as in about 5 or 6 I think) when it came to Worthless, nothing scared me and I always remember getting up early in the morning to put on the DVD and skip to Bobby's part 
I'm looking forward to see that comic though, it'll be good to see the foreboding angles of the "Levianthan"
On and unrelated note, I remembered a good comedy here in the UK called One Foot in the Grave, it's basically a show about an eccentric grump and his wife who finds it hard to life with somebody that moans so much. It's pretty funny you should check it out if you wanna : P

From what I've seen yeah this is pretty much a fictional "leviathan" a lot like the crazy tree-chopper machine in Ferngully. Movies like to exaggerate things because it's cool. XD Most of the crushers you see today are either rectangular balers where a forklift places the car inside, www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4vGo8β¦ or they're shredders with two spinning gears. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHKBa_β¦ This is kind of like a combination of the two. In reality, with a crusher like the one in BLT the cars wouldn't come out in cubes but in flat pancakes like the crusher in the first video. In order to make them into cubes you'd need something to crush them vertically and then a second stage compressor to crush them horizontally.
Maybe, I think most comments I've seen from people say that they were scared by that magnet. That or the killer clown from the nightmare. XD Yeah, yeah, I was the same way.. me and my cousin used to watch BLT a lot of the times just skipping to all the songs. My favorites were always B-Movie and Worthless and Bobby was my favorite car. "We're friends" XDDD
