there's programs you can use that stack individual images into a star trail shot, these can let you get away without moonlight or light pollution ruining longer exposures.
Hunt down startrails.exe for it. You can use say a 100 30second shots or something.

How did you get this to stack smoothly? I keep ending up with tiny gaps between the stars.
Love the way you snagged some sunset (I think).

Wow! That's really cool then. Too much city light around here to do a single exposure I think, but I may try it one day.

it's very nice, I read a book recently. This book was about photography and they gave a lot of ideas. And to take the stars with a very long time was on it, and I wanted to test ^^ But I haven't got remote...
I need so many things ^^

I love this. The colours are amazing, and the off-centeredness of the spiral is nice.

Out of curiosity, how did you take this shot? Like what do you mean by "remote"? From the other comments, it sounds like this is made up from several stills over a period of time??
I really like this. So sorry for asking so many questions...

Thanks Greg!
I've had the idea of shooting a road sign near me for quite some time (tried once before but was chased off by badgers, don't ask... feckers) So I'll be trying that the next clear night we have. Call me inspired all over again by your shot of the direction sign, its making me want to face the badgers again!!!

Exactly, so its my "first".
First with the new remote, first from that position, first of that night first on this profile!
See where this is going?
Gonna have to find more interesting areas. I need a scope or something to do while this is going on. its SOOOO boring standing there. (I mean if I go elsewhere, this one I just came in and sat my fat ass in the warmth)
