The thin blade of the knife was pressed against your neck. Red, crimson red eyes burned with love and anger. “Senza di te la vita non ha più senso.” He saw your confusion and put his words into English. “Without you, life has no meaning.”

“Then let’s not kill me?” You squeaked out nervously. He had you cornered against an alley wall with no way to escape.

Luciano had a small smile forming. “But Bella, someday others would want to take you away from me. I know it. So before that day comes, I’d rather take care of you myself.”

You hoped that he meant a spa trip when he said ‘take care of you’. Knowing him and his personality, he definitely meant death.

“Luciano, you know that I love you. Let’s just sit down and eat some pasta. We can talk about this like normal adults.”

He grunted and put his knife away. “You’re no fun.”

“What made you act so aggressive just now?” You asked knowing that he wasn't that angry anymore.

He avoided eye contact and whispered. “...vio....”

Vio? Wait... Did he mean Flavio? His blonde brother did flirt with you from time to time, but it was all harmless.

~At Luciano’s house

You sat down on the couch and got comfortable. You smoothed out your dress which was a present from your boyfriend Luciano. You remembered that you didn’t thank him for the gift yet, so you were going to stand up, but Flavio walked into the room.

“I see that you love the dress I got you!” Flavio giggled and sat in your lap. “Tell me the truth. On a scale from one to infinity squared, how much do you love it?”

“You gave me this dress?” You said in confusion. “The card said, ‘Un abito carino per una ragazza carina.’ Isn’t that ‘a cute dress for a cute girl’ in English?”

“It’s the truth!” Flavio laughed.

“Scusa?” Luciano walked into the room with a big bowl of pasta. His red eyes narrowed. “What’s going on here?”

Flavio spoke up not sensing the danger that could lie ahead. “Nothing much. Making out with your girlfriend.”

You shoved Flavio off of your lap. Thanks to you, the knife Luciano threw barely missed Flavio.

“Nothing happened Luciano. Flavio was talking to me about the dress I’m wearing.” You explained.

Flavio grinned. “The dress I gave her!”

You smacked your forehead. It was like Flavio wanted to get murdered. Luciano grabbed your hand and led you upstairs into his bedroom. He put down the pasta bowl on his nightstand and put you on the bed.

“So now you’re getting presents from my fratello!” Luciano yelled. His face turned red form how angry he was. “I thought that you loved me! Why are you getting friendly with my brother?”

“Friendship is different from a romantic relationship.” You said in a calm voice. “What do I have to do to prove that you are the only one for me?”

The idea easily popped into your head. You got down on one knee and took his slender hand. You kissed it, then looked into his widened eyes. “Sposami! Luciano, will you marry me?”

He froze.

“Luciano?”

“Yes. I’ll marry you.” He mumbled.

He was so shy with the emotions that didn’t involve anger. He was really cute when he had his timid moments like this. Luciano helped you stand up and hugged you tightly.

“Bella, I love you.” He whispered.

“I love you too.”

“But stay away from my brother.” He kissed you roughly on the lips. "He gets handsy around pretty girls."

"I'm pretty?"

"Of course you are! You have the night sky shining in your eyes, and your sweet voice calms me."

You blushed. "Thank you!"

You blushed even harder when Luciano moved his hands to take off the dress. You tried to protest, but he stronger than you.

"You shouldn't be wearing clothes that my brother gave you."

"I don't have any clothes over here at your house for me to wear." You said as you shielded yourself.

Luciano wasn't going to complain about your lack of clothes until you reminded him that Flavio was still in the house. That was all the motivation Luciano needed to run to his closet and give you some of his clothes. You happily wore your boyfriend, excuse me, your fiancé's clothes around the house.
