Description I wish that the "label" feature in Finder would change the colors of the folders, rather than put a big bubble around the text.

Until that happens, here is a set of folder icons colored to match the labels. Unfortunately these icons don't open as you drag stuff into them (any advice on how to do this?)

You Get (for each color):
• An application that does nothing (and only in Mac OS X) to transfer the icon from.
• An .icns file
• PNGs for each size

I downloaded this but cannot figure out how to use them, specifically, how to put content inside the folders. Here is what I did:

1. Downloaded the 6.5 zip file via Firefox onto my iMac [Yosemite OS]
2. Opened the zip file with the Archive Utility (default)
3. A folder titled Folder Colors appeared on my desktop.
4. Opened the Folder Colors folder and saw six (6) folders - Violet, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, and Yellow. There were also tor preview.png files.

At this point there was no directions on how to install/use the colored folders on my Mac. I tried dragging them to the desktop and that was successful, but I could not insert content into the folder. Please send directions on how to do this. Thanks!

Now that Mavericks only gives you the little dot when tagging files these will come in handy.  Thanks!

* select the desired folder/file and press cmd+I (get info)
* Simply drag the .icns file onto the folder/file icon in the top left corner (a + sign should show up) of the info screen
and you're done

Hope this helped

I really like them, very useful to have colors and organize everything... not only in the labels.

Thank you so much for your work.

Hopefully it's obvious why there isn't a blue folder in this set

Hahaha thank you for this comment. I felt like an idiot when I read it because I came here to check for a blue one.
