Description
So, this is my second part of the rp for stray-city.deviantart.com/
The black female stared into my eyes. A shiver of fear rolled down my spine as I stared back.
It would be unwise to run, I knew. But what could I do? Running was the only thing I could think of.
“Who are you?” She growled, the tawny female coming to her side.
I remained silent as I looked at her. I knew that if I ran and she caught me, I was as good as dead. But what would she do if I stayed. I stood, confident and ready for anything.
“My name’s Rex,” I said calmly. The black dog continued to glare at me, but showed no anger.
“You don’t smell like one of them.” She observed me carefully. “Or look like one of Faas’s pack.”
Faas. His pack must be their pack’s enemy. “No, no,” I growled. “I would never join a pack like their’s. They’re cruel and viscious dogs.”
“Indeed,” she growled. Pleasure rang in her voice. “What is your business here?”
“I had none, really. I was only wandering away from the city.” I sighed and looked behind me, where city lights still shone through the white. I thought quickly about my possible need for a pack. It would be wise to join them.
The black dog spoke again, “I’m Kyoto, the alpha of the Dunkle Schicksal packen. This is Madison.” She gestured towards the tawny dog.
“Hello,” Madison said calmly. I suppose they didn’t view me as a threat now.
I nodded in acknowledgement of their introductions. “Kyoto,” I addressed the doberman.
"Alpha," she corrected.
It took me a moment to understand. “Er... yeah. Would you be willing to accept me into your pack? I would be very grateful.”
Her eyes hardened. She began to ask many questions, to which of all I adequately answered. I remained confident, though some questions troubled me. I didn’t want to tell this dog about who I had been. I didn’t fully trust her not to attack me yet. I was still ready to run if I had to, but continued to view that as a foolish action.
I glanced at Madison, who was looking at me curiously. The two must find me some type of joke. For a street dog, my fur was unusually clean. Maybe they thought I was once a house dog. But my scars counteracted that theory.
“You don’t act like one of Faas’s spies.” Kyoto growled.
“Of course not. Why would I ever listen to that lousy excuse for a leader?”
“He’s smarter than you take him for,” she growled a reply. “Would you be willing to give your life for a pack mate?”
“In any event,” I answered boldly.
The alpha smiled wryly. It was time for a decision.
