Description
My submission to the sci-fi wallpaper contest.I doubt I'll win anything, but the prizes were too good not to at least try.
There are some issues, it's not perfect, but I like the outcome anyway. I couldn't really come up with a title. I think the piece tells its own story. Anyway, I hope you like it.
Most common resolutions are included:
1900x1200
1440x900
1600x1200
1280x1024
1024x768
It was originally made for widescreen, so the last three resolutions have black banding. I did not want to crop the piece. Feel free however to adjust the sizes, crop or whatever you would want to do to the wallpapers. As long as it is all for personal desktop wallpaper use that is.

I don't know how I missed this piece before, I've been watching you for some time. I guess it's because I mostly just look at space art, and yours is breath taking. This is also absolutely stunning though! It might be the second print I buy from you.

The only thing that fails though, is the polar bear on the bottom left. Should even be left out imo.

Deze hier is een combinatie van fotobewerking en painting, wat geldt voor het grootste deel van mijn landschappen. Het verschilt erg van plaatje tot plaatje.

2nd place, yeah, it would have been nice to get a free subscription. Now I had to use my own money to renew it. It's too bad but ah well, doesn't bother me that much. I think the rule that said the longer you've been around the less points you get didn't work to my advantage.

I wanna start doing art like this and matte painting, I just have no idea where/how to start.

Ehmmm it all started for me doing terraspace. I kept changing more and more elements to the terragen render and I started doing stuff like this.
As to where/how to start on a piece, it really depends. Sometimes you have something specific in mind you want to do and you might want to make a sketch of that. Sometimes you just start from a plate and work off of that.
