Description After the success of the first, our planets, now madly in love, went on a second date. They found a cave full of gems. Mister Gas is thinking of giving her a necklace made from all the rocks he's collected.

Where will their love take us next or will the romance be short-lived?

The nebula here is fantastic, great depth and I love the use of green in a way that actually looks good. The planet texture is great, but I'm not loving its use here, maybe the perspective is a bit off? Dunno. Still an awesome piece.

Thanks man I feel what you mean about the planet. The perspective should be fine, since I rendered the base in Maya. But, now, looking at it, I think the problem lies in the way the eye is directed by the planet. The eye is guided to the vanishing point of the bands of gas, which is left of the nebula. There's nothing really there. It could have been okay if the focal point were there or if some other element guided you back into the center of the neb. Perhaps I should rotate the planet a little or flip it. I was struggling with it to begin with. Hopefully I'll figure it out.
I'm glad you took notice of the green. It's a colour that's hardly used in space art.
Thanks again!

Wow, huge improvement. If I could fave it again I would
I didn't realize what the problem was before but looking at the new version I think you were right.
I try to use green when I can, but because of the flighty way I make each piece it often doesn't end up in the final version. I started a green and pink nebula piece and abandoned it because it was way too Freudian when I stepped back and saw what I had done.
Ok, TMI
