Description
5760x2880I decided to make a new map using a much larger and more accurate terrain map of the moon. Slighter drier than my older picture. This one has rivers but no cities or farmland as of yet. Zoom in for full view.
The original Photoshop file is 820mb.
Update June 13th. Major texture update because I learned how to do auto-blend of layers.

Nice but the moon is pointed the wrong direction in some of the pictures. Remember about the 'far' side. The middle of this map should always be facing the Earth.

I LOVE YOUR MAPS!!! They are the best and most detailed transformation maps available, hands down! I am currently (within the past year or two) working on cleaning this particular map up into a QBAM-type for usage in my novel WIP, the "Suen Sagas," so I have a great visual way of presenting all the warring states on the Moon that frequent the trilogy. Because I see it as your work, I will not post such a revision here or elsewhere, but I would gladly send it to you if you wanted a copy! In the meantime, keep up the super amazing wondrous work!

I would wonder what sorts of creatures we used to terraform our moon, and how they adapted to their new environment. I'd like to draw a scene on a terraformed moon, if that's ok with you.

If you're asking "Can I use this in my Celestia".. sure, I can't stop you.
But if you're asking "Can I upload this to Celestiamotherlode or some other site", then no. You don't have my permission, and would be a little difficult without a bump map, specularity, or all the other little things I don't upload that would be valuable.
If I wanted this shared for Celestia I would have done it myself.

just on the topic of permission and copyright or whatever, have u thought about making a personal watermark which u can just smack on any image before uploading?? ive done that on other sites and it means that people cant redistribute the image cos its got your signature on it. i think for someone like you who makes a lot of this kind of art, its a pretty good idea
