For 'cause she's awesome (and she's doing a pic of Esther for me that I know will be epic-er than this pic) and she knows as well as anyone that it's the details that take time.

Yay! It's finally finished!! Well it sort of is. I think I have a few tiny things to finish that will take me forever. Like shading the trim on Ion's jacket. Just drawing it almost killed me. Oww...my hand... Yes, I know the blue fire is FAIL but I never draw fire. Ever. So first time.

For those of you who don't know Trinity Blood, these two are Ion Fortuna, Count of Memphis (the blonde one) and Radu Barvon, Baron of Luxor ( the other one XD. Oh and they're vampires. They're in Carthage so they're blending in with the locals.

I decided to be fancy and use symbolism. XD Yay me. Ion has a green butterfly in his hand, representing the Empress (green is the colour only she's allowed to wear), who favours him. It's sunny on his side. Radu has his blue fire that he creates. This symbolises his *SPOILERS* betrayal. And his link to the Rozenkreuz Orden's moto, 'Igne natura renovatur integra' - 'By flames shall the world be reborn'. It's night on his side as he's not favoured by the Empress. And also a sort of reference to something he said when he was a kid. 'My mother once said, "How much we are hated by the sun is how much we are loved by the moon." ' So cute.

It's horrifically detailed. T_T Like most Trinity Blood stuff. Let's put it this way, these clothes are a HELL of a lot simpler than their Imperial formal clothes. Kind of a fusion of the manga and novel versions. I hate Ion's turban in the novels. I had the novel on hand for references. Like the trim. And then I had to go dig out the manga to find out what colour Radu's eyes were. His tiny little ponytail is so pointless. But I love him and Ion so much.

And yes you can see my horrible pencil lineart the scanner killed. I really need to learn how to do lineart on the computer.
