Description To celebrate the return of A4's 60008 and 60010 for Mallard 75, this is LNER A4 pacific 4468 'Mallard' in 1985 condition and 1988 condition, when she was brought back in steam.

I was taken as a baby to see Mallard when it appeared in York withoutΒ  most of its streamline casing.I have no recollection of the day.ButΒ  I have been told I wasΒ  definately there when Mallard emerged out of the NRM

Excellent. I'm planning how to make wooden toy versions of the Mallard (possibly other A4s as well, but the cover of Blur's Modern Life is Rubbish isn't a great design for nothing) so this is very helpful.
