Description
I modeled this apple in C4D, then created the scene. After adjusting the lighting I enabled surface and volume caustics (the focused light that shines through a transparent material) and GI lighting.This is intended to represent a "Glass Apple" ornament

Uh - lol - there are LOTS of test renders LOL - the transparency of the glass material is at 90% and the lighting is set to GI with both bolume & surface caustics turned on full - plus the "highlight" special effect is turned on

I tend to only use skylights and ray trace shadows when I model something

The shadows are set to raytraced soft here - but are kinda hard to see with the caustics

Wow its so lovely
I love the colours and the reflection on the apple leaf. There is just something about the light half way down that looks a little off to me. I'm not sure what it is, it could just be because i am tired
