Mark, you're on a roll with these FE images recently! I love this one. I'm assuming that it's a Talis family or similar - how are you getting the smooth surfaces and colouring?

This is the 'Liliput' formula, and the 'Variation II" palette.

Before rendering I always ensure that I choose two settings under the Fractal menu: "Enable Smoothing" and "Anti-aliasing on nine points". These settings will generally add some significant time to the rendering time. After rendering, I generally also use the "Sharpen (low)" transformation, in the Post-processing filters. Lastly, in the preferences, I have the Graphics jpeg quality set to 'High'. It is at this point that I save the jpeg. Hope this helps!!

Thanks, Mark - actually, I don't think I phrased my question properly! I also enable smoothing and aa@9 points. What I meant was actually the shininess of the structure rather than the sharpness of the edges. I was curious about your settings in the Filter Properties field and Transform field...
