Stupid categories.Today we have Bomberman (the little guy) and... a less cute version of Bomberman. It all came from comparing the serious real-life bombers, to the cute and innocent Bomberman series. Originally going to be a crazed looking bomber, I thought it would be more fun to draw a human sized and shape version of Bomberman.
I say size, but we have no idea what size Bomberman is. I'm just assuming that he's small.

Kinda reminds me of how in Namco X Capcom, Taizo Hori from Dig Dug was redesigned into a buff anime hero .

I can't quite find the words... this is brilliance. Nostalgia, wierdness and the whole terrorism side of things rolled up into something that left me not quite knowing what to do, laugh, smile, think or remember.
The questioning expression from the bomber man is like... and wtf are you doing... I mean i have a purpose I need to blow these blocks up to get somewhere but wtf are you doing.

This is really funny. It reminds me of all the ridiculous box art that plagued gaming from its inception to probably the mid-to-late 90s.

....and nowadays we have eye-candy-whizzbang plaguing games by taking the developers focus away from game play, skill progression and timing, replacing it with super audio visual elements, resulting in pretty games with game play inferior to the original Quake from 1996.

Haha, that Act Zero game looked pretty weird. Unsurprisingly, never played it. However the new Bomberman game available through the xbox live arcade is good classic-style bomberman at least!

for me, bomberman died after saturn bomberman, but what a way to go! it almost seems blasphemy to make bomberman anything but a few ugly balls with a face. what'll be really hilarious is if they try and give the game a more "mature" theme.

Did you know that the 360 version of Bomberman thats in the making has a new mature looking Bomberman? Lets just say that I'm pissed about it, reminds me of how shitty Vectorman looked in what was to be his newest game, until they rightfully cancelled it ^_____^

Yeah it originally was going to be something based upon that, or rather had some reference to it. It looks weird for sure! Half the reason for playing Bomberman are the cute characters!
And I didn't know there's a new Vectorman game? Or rather there was.
